Chapter 6
"....yeah, and then he hugged me, then I pulled his head towards mine and don't tell anyone but.."
"You made out?"
"How do you know?!"
"You two aren't very good at hiding.."
"Oh well who cares, at least we didn't get caught."
The intercom beeps. "Sheyanna, will you please come to the Dean's office immediately."
I smirk while she goes out the door. Someone's in hot water and school hasn't even started yet..
My door gets slammed onto the wall and Julie comes in shrieking.
"OMIGOSH JADE, I GOT PUT ON SOCIAL!"
"That sucks. How long is it for?"
"Until school starts! So, about a week!" Sheyanna exclaims.
"That really does suck. Well, I'm going to go to bed. Night."
*Sheyanna crying* "Night."
Finally, quite time. I can't believe she got put on social with Matt. I wonder what he has to say about this. I should text him.. Wait. He's mad at me. For no freaking reason. The girl that he said I'm judging is currently in my room crying because she got caught sucking his face. Forget him, I bet Jack is a lot nicer. He arrives to the school tomorrow morning.
*The next morning*
"JAAAAAAAAAAAADE OPEN THE DOOOOOR, GET YOUR FAT SELF UP, JAAADE!"
Why the heck is someone pounding on my door at 10 in the morning on a Sunday? Why.
"I'm coming!"
I run to the door and almost trip over Sheyanna, who's sleeping like a baby.
I swing open the door. "What do you guys want!?"
Annika starts to say something but Adela interrupts her.
"Why is SHE in your room?"
"She wanted to talk to me, that's it. I'm not her best friend or anything. Don't worry. Just tell me why you're waking me up so early."
Annika's time to shine. "There's this guy on campus that got here a few hours ago, he looks a lot like Matt, and we wondered if you knew him too."
"Wow guys, you woke me up cause you saw a guy? Just come in".
They race each other to the couch, putting their feet up on the table".
"Feet off. Let me talk. Yes, I know Jack, but he doesn't know I'm here. It's a long story, but Matt told me to stay away from him. I'm not sure why though."
"Jade, I swear you know everyone." Annika tells me.
"Annika, knowing 2 people doesn't count as everyone. Anyways, let me wake up Sheyanna and change, and then we can go chill or something."
"Can I wake up Sheyanna?!" Annika asks, eyes wide.
"Alright...."
Annika takes the blow horn that's on my desk and yeah. You know the rest.
"WHAT THE FRICK WHO DID THAT?"
We all run downstairs to the lobby before Sheyanna is completely awake.
Well that was quite a special way to start the morning. The three of us head to the cafeteria for brunch. We see Matt. I quickly lead them to a table farthest from him.
"What was that about?" Adela says.
"He's mad at me for apparently judging Sheyanna."
"What a butt." Annika comments.
Haha, I love Annika! This café food is surprisingly really good. I space out looking at someone while Annika and Adela talk about stuff. Someone taps my shoulder, I jump.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a bit?"
I can recognize that voice anywhere. Annika and Adela leave the table and leave me and Jack alone.
"What?"
"I just wanted to say hi."
"Oh! I wasn't expecting you to be here. I thought you were Matt."
"Nope, haha. I saw the back of your head and I knew it was you. It's crazy that we're going to the same school. How do you know Matt?"
"Long story, I'll tell you later. So I guess you should be going back to the dorm now? You still need to unpack and stuff."
"Yeah, true. I'll catch ya later."
"Yeah, bye."
Annika and Adela run to the table and demand answers to their questions.
"Guys, calm down. I don't have a thing for him. I never will."
"He was looking at you like you were the only person in the room."
"You would say that Adela."
"It's true!" Annika backs her up.
I decide to tell them everything.
"Okay, I didn't tell you this before, but he works at a Starbucks at the Seattle Airport, and when I was at the airport, he was on his shift. I ordered a tall, and he gave me a vente, and even paid for it. On the cup it had his number and it said 'call me'."
"Ohhh snaaaap." They both ooooh.
"Shut up. I don't like him anymore then a friend. I swear."
"We're just messing with you, Jade!" Adela laughs.
"Okay good. Well let's head back to the dorm before Sheyanna gets here."
I spoke too soon.
"Hey guys! Did you see that hot guy over there? I'll see you later! I've got some work to do."
She left with a wink. Gross. She just got on social with someone, and now she's going for their twin brother. Sucks for Jack, he's going to have to put up with her for a while.
