Adam and I had just came from the restaurant. He wanted to show me something and he drove me to this mountain. We both sat at the edge of this mountain and beneath us was a beautiful scenery.
The river sparkled under the moon. Many flowers glowed brightly in many different colours. And for once I felt at peace. Our legs dangled down from the mountain. I wonder how high we were.
I laid my head back so my body was flat on the ground. I stared up at the stars. Adam did the same and we both stared up. Seconds later, we both turned to face each other and we smiled in unison.
"I love you Nicole," Adam said, without hesitating.
"I love you Adam," I said. And I meant it.
"Wait that's not fair, I have to be your girlfriend first. Then you can say you love me," I said, giggling away.
I was so happy. I felt like I was on top of the world and no one could get to me. It must have been the little amount of wine that I drank.
"Fine, do you want to be my girlfriend, Nicole Parkinson?" Adam said, his eyes twinkling.
"I do," I said.
"Now do you Adam Hunter, want to be my boyfriend?" I said, smiling at him.
"I do," Adam said.
I got up and collected some daisies. Adam just looked confused whilst I was collecting them. I made two small daisy chains that were small enough to fit our fingers.
I ran to Adam and put one on his finger and he got the other and put it on mine.
"We are now officially girlfriend and boyfriend!" Adam said, happily.
I came closer to kiss him. He came closer too and we kissed.
"Come, let me take you somewhere," I said to Adam.
We both held hands and walked to the car and sat in.
I told him the directions and we got there in 20 minutes. We got out of the car and I showed him where to go.
"Seriously, an ice cream shop?" Adam said, laughing.
"Excuse me, they have the best ice cream ever!" I said.
"You look so cute when you're excited," Adam squealed.
"Stop embarrassing me," I said, covering my face.
The shopkeeper looked at us and smiled. He looked about 20 and seemed nice.
"What would you like?" He asked us.
"Can I have two vanilla ice creams with sprinkles and flakes, please?" I spoke.
"Of course, that's £4.50 please," he said.
I handed him a fiver and waited for the ice cream.
"I could've paid you know?" Adam said.
"It's my treat babe" I said, whilst rolling my eyes.
The shopkeeper gave us the ice cream and we both got them and walked outside whilst eating the ice cream.
"Oh my god, these are so delicious!" Adam exclaimed.
"Told you," I said.
We ate the ice cream and Adam took me home and we said bye. I opened the door with my keys and checked the time.
It was 11.39 PM. I went upstairs and got ready for bed and took off my makeup and clothes. I put my daisy chain ring on my dressing table and fell asleep thinking about Adam.
They both thought that everything was going to be okay. That everything would get better. But they were blinded by reality. She was the same girl. He was the same boy. For she was slowly dying.....
