9. Reaction

Three weeks later, Shawn won up with his arms wrapped around Camila yet again. He was dressed in his boxers, while Camila lay snuggled up to his chest, in her pyjamas. He breathed in her scent before leaning down to kiss her softly.

The previous few weeks, Shawn and Camila had and gone on numerous dates with one another, once again both thoroughly enjoying them and each one ended in the same manner, with Shawn being pulled in by the lapels of his jacket into Camila's apartment, not that he was complaining. He would wake up the next morning and spend a couple of hours laying around in bed before finally getting up and going to collect his son.

Rio was still oblivious to anything that was going on between Shawn and Camila, the pair both felt guilty from hiding the truth from the little boy and they knew he would be happy to hear the news, but neither of them wanting to push the other or tell the boy about their relationship before ending whatever they had going on two minutes later. Shawn still had yet to ask Camila to be his official girlfriend and he knew his time was limited, but still, he didn't take the risk of being rejected.

However, since his third date with Camila, which had been the previous week, Shawn had been considering more strongly the idea of officially making Camila his and telling Rio and he now felt like their relationship would work out, so why should he hide it from his son or anyone really. They wouldn't make it public at school, but Shawn wanted people to know he was dating Camila, that he was happy again and did not have any interest in one Emily Wilson, who despite being rejected at five hundred different points in the past three weeks, still did not understand the concept of Shawn not having any feelings for her.

Shawn was brought out of his thoughts, by Camila murmuring as she tossed over to face him. He smiled as her eyes opened and she grinned at him sleepily. "Morning." She murmured, pulling him closer to her. Shawn laughed before grabbing a hold of her face and connecting their lips. "Morning, baby." He smiled as he pulled away. "Do you want to come with me to pick Rio up?" He asked.

Camila looked up at him in question, "I thought you didn't want to tell him yet." Shawn shook his head, "I changed my mind because I'm very confident that I'm gonna keep you around for a very long time." He said, pulling her closer again. "How long?" "I'm betting on forever baby." He whispered before kissing her again.

The two soon parted and got up, quickly dressing and eating breakfast before making their way out of Camila's apartment and to Brian's own apartment, where Rio had been staying the night, every Friday night.

As they walked, they held hands tightly, chatting quietly about their next date, while Shawn inwardly considered the various ways he could make Camila his girlfriend and not just someone he went on dates with on Friday's.

Soon they arrived at the building and made their ways up the stairs and to Brian's apartment. But they weren't greeted with a closed door but rather the door wide open and shouts and screams sounding from the room. Brian and a familiar voice were yelling at one another.

"You're not taking him. Shawn never told me that he said to you to come pick him up and I don't care if you say he did unless he says it to me, it didn't happen!" They heard Brian yell out, causing the pair to run into the apartment, where Brian and Emily stood in the middle arguing, while Rio crouched in the corner hiding away from the shouting.

"What is going on here?" Shawn yelled, silencing the pair and Rio's crying. The three looked at Shawn and Camila before Rio rushed over to the two and clung onto Camila's leg.

Brian spoke first, "We were eating breakfast when the doorbell rang and I opened the door to find this lunatic, demanding I hand Rio over to you because you said so, but I wouldn't do it because you aren't told me otherwise."
