"Alright everyone let's go outside and meet your parents." Camila called as she lead the kids outside to go home with their parents. The woman held hands with Rio as they walked, not wanting to lose the child after she had just been given the chance by Shawn to look after him.

Camila wouldn't admit it out loud, but Rio was her favourite kid in her class. He was always so upbeat and never let anything get him down. Camila admired the boy, she was aware of Shawn being a single parent, but she had no idea how hard it was until today, even now she doesn't know the full story.

As all the parents came and collected their children, Camila kept a tight hold on of Rio, she didn't want him running off with any other kids and having to tell Shawn, "I'm really sorry, but I lost sight of your son." Not a great first impression of her child minding skills.

Once all the kids were gone Camila lead Rio back into the school and collected her things. "I just need to stack the chairs and then we can go." She told the boy. She made her way around the classroom, picking up the Chairs and placing them on the table. "I want to help!" The brunette boy exclaimed before picking up a chair and placing it on the table.

After a couple of minutes the pair had finished and they made their way to Camila's small Citroen. "Sorry, I don't have a cool sports car." She joked. Rio laughed before answering, "It's OK. I like this car!" Camila smiled at the boy before turning the key in the ignition and starting the car.

It took the two, fifteen minutes to travel to Camila's apartment. During their journey, they talked about school, sports and Shawn. Rio's obsession with his father, only made Camila admire him more. Shawn clearly dealt with a lot and could've given up at any moment, but he fought for his son and to Camila that was such an admirable thing to do.

When they entered her apartment, Camila was in shock. Both hers and Rio's jaws dropped awe-stricken. Her apartment was a complete tip and that was certainly not how she left it this morning.

Clothes were strewn across the floor, food and drink were splattered all over her kitchen, shelves were knocked to the floor. Her TV was hanging off the wall, almost dropping.

While Camila could've taken it for a robber, she knew a robber wouldn't go through her fridge and a robber wouldn't be sitting on her bed, staring at pictures of other girls on snapchat. "Austin!"

The brunette man jumped three feet in the air, dropping his phone, an image of a woman in her underwear staring up. Camila scoffed, disgusted, before screaming. "What the hell have you done to my apartment?"

"Nothing."

Camila heaved a deep breath, "It's not nothing! My clothes are everywhere, you've raised my fridge and left the TV hanging off of a wall!" She took another deep breath and counted to ten, before turning around and crouching down to Rio's level. "I'm sorry, Rio. That was out of line."

The boy opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by Austin, "Who's kid is this?" Camila rolled her eyes.

"Austin, this is Rio Mendes, Rio-" "Mendes?" Austin asked Camila and Rio both nodded. "Is your father Shawn Mendes?"

The boy nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah, you know my daddy?" The man nodded, a glare fixed on his face, directed at the boy. "My daddy is the greatest daddy ever!" Austin growled and bent down grabbing the boy by the chin.

"Your father is a lazy bastard, who never does anything at work." He hissed. Tears fell down Rio's face at the abuse Austin was giving him. "No, he's not!"

Austin raised a hand to hit the boy but was caught by Camila. "How dare you? Try to badmouth the boy's father and abuse him like this! What makes you think it's OK to hit a child?" The man let go of Rio, who stumbled back and stood up.
