[Two months later]

"Hailee! What do I do?" Camila screeched down the phone to her friend on a Sunday morning. She heard a loud groan come from Hailee on the other side of the phone. "I'm sorry, but it's eight in the morning on a Sunday, might I add. Let me sleep!" She cried out, causing Camila to growl.

"Hailee, I'm meeting his parents today!"

"What?" She screeched, becoming more alert. "I know! His family are having a family meal and he told them about me and now they want to meet me!" She exclaimed, pacing back and forward in her room. "So now, I don't know what to wear, how to act or anything! What if they hate me? What if they think I'm some sort of gold digger, who hates their grandson?"

She fell back onto her bed, running her hand up and down her face. "Camila, that is the last thing that is going to happen. Shawn adores you, so does Rio and everyone can easily tell you care for him. Don't think otherwise because I can guarantee they'll love you. You're the first person in six years to date their son, they must think you're special." Hailee soothed her doubts, understanding the stress of meeting her boyfriend's parents for the first time.

"Ok, thanks, Haiz." She bid goodbye before going to her wardrobe and picking out a pair of jeans and a sweater to wear. She quickly changed before hearing the door to her apartment open and made her way out to greet Shawn and Rio.

She entered her living room to see Shawn and Rio looking around before landing their eyes on her, "You look beautiful." Shawn complimented before moving forward and greeting her with a kiss. Shawn was dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a dress shirt, while Rio stood in a shirt and trousers. "Rio, you look very handsome, even better than Daddy." She smiled, bending down to hug the little boy, who kissed her cheek. "Thank you, Mila." Shawn playfully glared before clapping his hands together, "Ready to go?" She nodded and grabbed her keys.

They exited the apartment and made their way to the car, but before Camila got in Shawn grabbed her wrist stopping her. "Don't be nervous, they're gonna love you. I know it." She smiled and pecked his lips before getting in. "Mila! You're going to love Grandpa and Grandma, they're so fun! They always give me money!" Camila and Shawn widened their eyes. "Rio, that's not why we love Grandpa and Grandma." "I know, but it's a bonus." "Champ, we love Grandpa and Grandma because they love us and they will always want us in their world." He nodded before speaking up again. "And Aaliyah is hilarious, she always tells a funny story about Daddy." Shawn rolled his eyes.

"Yes well, Auntie Aaliyah has promised not to do that today." Rio groaned. "Whether or not she'll keep to that since she isn't aware that Mila is coming is another question." Camila tilted her head, "She doesn't know about me." "I wanted to surprise her and my cousins, but one of them always tries to set me up with their friends, I'm hoping she doesn't bring one today." Camila laughed, while it may be annoying to find someone flirting with her boyfriend, she knew he didn't care for anyone else.

"We're here." He smiled as they pulled up outside of a large house, painted white, with many cars surrounding the area around it. "It's lovely." Shawn smiled and grabbed Rio's hand as well as wrapping an arm around Camila's shoulder. "Come on, maybe if you're lucky, I'll show you my old room." She giggled and leant up pecking his cheek.

They made their way up the stairs to the porch and knocked on the door. "Shawn!" A woman called as the door opened before throwing her arms around his neck. "Mum!" He greeted back hugging her tightly back before letting go. "How are you?" Shawn's mum nodded, "I'm good and how's my grandson?" The little boy gleefully smiled and jumped into his grandmother's arms. "Grandma!" He cheered. The woman giggled and stepped aside, letting the other two in.

Shawn's mum put Rio down before turning her gaze to Camila, a neutral expression took over her face and nerves began to take over Camila, was she judging her? Did she already dislike her? "And who's this Shawn?" She asked monotonously. "Mum, this is Camila, my girlfriend." Camila held her hand out. "It's nice to meet you, Karen." She quietly murmured embarrassed, that she almost forgot the woman's name. Arms suddenly flung around her and pulled her in. "It's nice to meet you too, Camila." She leant her face in close and whispered in Camila's ear. "Thank you for making my son happy again." She blushed. "It was no problem, he's a very nice man." Karen's smile widened as Shawn pulled her back into his embrace. "If you don't mind Mum, I'm going to introduce her to Dad."
