I hurried through the busy Tokyo streets. My wavy hair was flying out behind me and my bag kept slipping off my shoulder. I was going to be late to the start of a new life. The train was leaving in only fifteen minutes and I was ten minutes away. If I was driving. Which I wasn't. I couldn't miss this train, either. The next two were apparently booked out, and my flight would have left by the time the third one arrived.
Probably booked out because of that concert. Some sort of boy-band... Or was it a girl-band? I can't even remember. Seriously, I can't believe my luck. First; waking up late, second; my shower not working, third; my foundation running out, fourth; not having time for breakfast-. My thoughts were cut off as I slammed into someone.
I flew backwards, papers from my bag sent off in the wind. I landed with a sickening crack, staring up at the blue sky. The concrete pavement suddenly felt very soft against my back. Someone was wailing. Shut up, I thought. I'm the one that should be crying, not you. I tried to lift my head and looked around. People were staring. Help me up, then; you selfish cows. I glared at a young woman who was looking distastefully down at me.
Pushing myself up on my bruised elbows, I took in the situation. My bag was a few metres away and scattered paper was all around it. My skirt had ridden up my legs and was very high. My scarf was lying next to me, and somehow one of my shoes had even come off. I knew I shouldn't have worn slip-ons. Suddenly I realised how much my head hurt. I sat up and gently touched the back of it. Hissing in pain, I sharply pulled my hand away and looked at the smudge of blood than was on my fingertips. Well, damn.
"Ow... What the hell?" moaned a voice from in front of me. I looked for the source and went bright red when I saw a good looking young man looking at me as if I were brain dead. I hadn't even noticed him.
If I could call myself anything at that moment, it would be tomato. "Why'd you run into me? Are you stupid?" he asked with a groan. He was wearing skinny jeans and a white T-shirt with some kind of logo on it. He also had on a purple hoodie yet he didn't look cold, even though it was November. His eyes were covered by darkened sunglasses and he had a beanie hat on which mostly concealed his hair style. A black fringe came out beneath the beanie and covered his forehead. He looked at me for the first time and shook his head. Sighing angrily he stood up. He's tall, I noticed, blushing again. I looked meekly away and stood up too, my heart racing.
"I'm really sorry, I'm in a hurry. I have to catch a train, please excuse me," I apologised with a polite bow.
"I'm in a hurry too but you don't see me running into strangers." I nodded, embarrassed, but chose to ignore the fact that he had ran in to me too.
"I'm really sorry," I repeated, sneaking a peek at my watch and almost dying when I saw I only had ten minutes left.
"Are you alright?" he asked with no emotion. I nodded quickly and bent down to pick up my bag. I was stuffing papers messily in when I felt him touch the back of my head. I fell forwards in shock and from the sting of pain.
"You're bleeding," he stated with a bored look. I stood up and glared at him.
"I know, but I have to go, have a nice day, sir." I slipped my shoe back on and almost fell when some old man was pushed into me by the throng of people trying to get to work. Composing myself, I wrapped my scarf around my neck, apologised again to the man, and began to jog down the street as he watched me from the same position.

"Where is it?" I yelped, digging through my bag. My passport and train ticket were missing. I threw my bag down on a bench and emptied the contents onto it. I sifted anxiously through the things, wiping a tear from my cheek. They aren't here. I'm going to miss my train, and even if I get to the airport I can't exactly leave with no passport, I thought, distressed.
