We finally drove into a space in the car park. Yaito was fairly red in the face from shouting at other drivers. Someone has road rage...
"Okay, we're here," he said, wiping his forehead for added effect. I giggled.
"You're so dramatic," I told him as I opened the door. He shrugged and put on his sunglasses and beanie hat. Takeo had already wrapped his scarf around his lower face and had on his sunglasses, so we were set to go.
"Don't stray too far away from us, Kimi-chan," ordered Takeo, taking my arm defensively. "The city is a dangerous place for a pretty young girl like yourself." I laughed and blushed.
"Don't worry, I have you to protect me, right?" He giggled and nodded.
"Yup!"
"And me," added Yaito.
"And you," I smiled. He flicked his hair and began to walk through the relatively small car park.
"We need to go to the supermarket last," said Takeo to me whilst we walked. "Otherwise the ice cream will melt." I mentally drooled. Ice cream...
We went out onto the street and towards the main shopping area. Once we were nearer the crowds of people, I grabbed Yaito's arm and pulled him around to face me. Smiling, I told them,
"You guys go on ahead, I just need to get some things really quickly. I'll meet you in the frozen isle of the super market, okay?" Yaito opened his mouth to object but I glared at him.
"Aw, but I wanted to show you a little shop..." Takeo whined.
"You can, Ta-."
"Don't use our names, please," Yaito said quickly.
"Yeah, if you could just call us by the first letter or something?" said Takeo awkwardly.
I laughed but inside I was so embarrassed. "I-I'll just call you blondie and you p-pinkie," I said with an overly happy expression. "I'll meet you in the frozen isle soon!" I told them quickly as I dashed off into the crowds. Why can't I use their names? What's up with that? Not like they're wanted criminals or something, I thought, annoyed.
Sighing gently, I walked into a shop that looked like it sold all sorts of things, hopefully makeup included. Walking through the heavily stocked isles, I finally chanced upon one stocked with foundation. Browsing through the different types, I picked out one that looked light enough for my pale skin and went to pay for it.
Behind the counter was a dark-crimson haired guy. He was tall and reading manga.
Naruto - Volumes 1-3
He has good taste, I thought to myself as I waited for him to notice me. He looked up slowly, then blushed red and threw the book on his desk, almost falling back off his spinny-chair.
"S-sorry!" he exclaimed, standing and blushing as red as his longish hair. "H-how can I help you, miss?" I smiled and put the foundation on the desk. He scanned it, not looking at me once. "That will be-." I held out the right amount of money. "Oh, th-thanks. Come again!" he stammered, blushing even more.
"Thank you," I said as he put my makeup in a small paper bag. "Nice little shop here," I stated, looking around. He looked up, surprised.
"Um, yeah. Yeah, it is," his face was only slightly red now, and he smiled gently as he looked at me. "The prices are quite good too; we get quite a few customers."
"I'm not surprised, it's really welcoming from the first glimpse." He nodded in response, looking at his watch.
"The pay and hours are good too," he laughed. "I'm off in a few minutes."
