Chapter 11: Ruby’s Incident
Kimberly walked into my room that and told me there was no class on today. I nodded to her and she left me alone in my room.
I had come back to my room after Jake told me he had to go talk to Tom for an hour or so meaning I was left on my own for a while. I didn’t mind being on my own, it gave me time to think without Jake being there wondering what I was thinking about and then getting worried when I said it was nothing.
Jake worries too much. I don’t think he understands that I can take care of myself and have for years. Jake thinks that now that I love him and have him, I suddenly can’t take care of myself anymore. He’s just silly but I do like to know that he cares.
So for the hour I was all by myself, I went for a walk around the school for a while. I had nothing better to do and walking outside was good when I was thinking.
As I was passing the day school, I smelt blood. I hadn’t recognised the blood but it wasn’t something I could ignore so I went to have a look.
I saw a few guys beating up someone and dismissed it until I saw the knife and the person fall to the floor. It was Ruby. She was coughing up blood and had cuts on her face and arms. I tried to ignore all the blood as I quickly went to help Ruby.
I threw the guy with the knife at the brick wall which knocked the wind out of him and he fell to the ground, unconscious. Next the other two guys came at me. I kicked one in the face and tripped the other one over. The one I kicked had a blood nose and slowly started to stand up. I quickly turned around and kicked him in the stomach; he landed against the brick wall and fell unconscious next to the other guy. The last one had a sprained ankle and couldn’t get up so I wrapped my hand and around his throat and started to strangle him.
“Vicky, stop!” I heard Ruby scream at me so I let go and the last guy lay there unconscious but still breathing slowly.
“Sorry,” I mumbled to Ruby and I quickly got up; went to each guy and held my hand over their heads. I wiped their memories of what happened because I don’t need any attention from humans and slayers.
Finally, I went over to Ruby to make sure she was alright. She was bleeding a lot but most of the cuts on her arms were close together. I ripped the bottom of my shirt and wrapped the fabric around one of her arms so it could soak up the blood.
“Thanks,” Ruby said quietly. I nodded in return and asked what she was doing out so late. “I was waiting for someone and those guys came along looking for a fight. They wanted their homework they gave me last week but I hadn’t done it and I refused to do it so they beat me up.”
I nodded. I knew Ruby was pretty smart and smarter than me at times. “Who were you waiting for?”
“Someone in the night school,” Ruby replied looking down.
“Who,” I asked again and she sighed, giving in.
“Tom,” that was all she was able to say because Tom then appeared in front of us. All he did was look at me and nod. That’s when I left because I had no reason to be there anymore. I didn’t know what to think or what to say so I left Tom and Ruby alone and I knew Tom would take care of her.

ok so I'm going to start making goals before I update the next chapter so I know people want and will read it. Due to this story being on here a while but this chapter and system is new, I will make the goal very small to start off with and go from there. So before I update the next chapter, I would like 15 reads, 10 votes and 3 comments. Thank you! xx
