Hiccup POV
"Well why didn't you?" Astrid asked.
"Oh, oh. Well I, it wasn't perfect. I always thought that if it ever happened. And yes I've thought about it, a lot. Uh, it had to be just perfect" I replied. Astrid chuckled lightly before looking at the sunset. Gods Astrid was beautiful. More than usual. The way the sun lit up her face. Not only that, Astrid was brave, selfless, had a caring heart, a warrior, and a Valkyrie. I was so lucky to have her in my life.
"Well, this seems pretty perfect to me" she told me.
"Yeah, yeah I guess it does" I grinned. I turned to face her and kissed her and she kissed me back. We broke apart and Astrid rested her head on my shoulder and wrapped and arm around my waist. I wrapped an arm around her shoulder bringing her closer to me. I kissed her head. I had something I have been wanting to ask Astrid and I knew the perfect way to do it. "Hey Astrid, you wanna go on a flight on Toothless?" I suggested.
"Sure, when do you wanna go"? She asked.
"How about now?" I answered. She nodded and we got up. I extended my hand. She smiled and took it and the two of us walked to my hut where the lazy Night Fury was resting.

Astrid POV
We were up in the air on Toothless. We flew higher and saw the breathtaking Northern Lights. This was just like the time Hiccup and Toothless took me on that crazy flight. It was beautiful. I wrapped my arms around Hiccup's waist and rested my head on his shoulder.
Hiccup POV
This was amazing. I felt like today couldn't get much better than this. I told Toothless to land on that cliff. (The one where Hiccup met Viggo) We slid off my loyal dragon and the two of us walked to the cliff and sat down. The moon was full and the stars were shimmering in the sky.
"It's so beautiful" Astrid commented.
"Not as beautiful as you" I said. She blushed slightly and looked back at the view. "Hey Astrid."
"Mmm" She hummed in response.
"There's something I've been wondering" I told her. She turned to face me.
"What is it Hiccup?" Astrid asked.
"What are we? I mean we hug, we kiss but what are we?" I questioned.
"Well what do you want us to be?" she asked.
"I..I want you to be my girlfriend" I said. She enveloped me in a hug.
"Well this must be your lucky day, since I was hoping you'd say that" She said.
"So does this mean...?" I began.
"Yes. I'll be your girlfriend, Hiccup" She replied.
I was so relieved. I hugged her back and buried my nose into her hair. Astrid Hofferson was my girlfriend. I couldn't believe it. She'd been my crush since I was six and now... I sighed with relief. She pulled away, punched my arm.
"That was for taking so long" Astrid said. Then she kissed me and said. "That's for everything else" She added. leaned in and kissed her again. I wrapped one arm around her waist and the other hand was at the back of her head. She had her arms around my neck. That was the perfect day.
