I decided to write this explaining why this ship between the characters of Damian Wayne/Robin and Rachel Roth/Raven needs to happen. This is the only time I've ever truly cared that a ship has to take place to write something about it. I mean we all...
Ok let's first start out with the overview/history of the ship. In this section I'm just going to cover the interactions between these 2 characters and then I'll get into more of my reasons as to why this ship actually works and needs to happen. So let's get started. (BTW it also helps if you watch the clips). The ship between these two characters started In the movie Justice League vs. Teen Titans. In that movie Damian Wayne got sent to Titans Tower so that he could learn to socialize with kids his age for the first time and to learn to be apart of a team. When he first arrives he's cold and everyone is taken back by his attitude. With the exception of Raven being the only one who senses that he's sad.
Afterwards Damian continues to train where he then gets into a fight with Blue Beetle. He of course kicks his ass but being arrogant and overconfident he lets his guard down allowing Blue Beatle's scarab to get a good shot in at him nearly killing him until he is healed by Raven.
When Raven heals him they form a special connection/bond where the two of them are able to see into each other's memories. Later that evening Damian notices Raven meditating outside Titans tower and goes to thank her in that Damian sort of way. (It just kills him to do so). The two of them talk about their heritage and Damian tries to talk to her about what he saw in her head.
After Raven leaves Damian becomes intrigued by her mysterious nature to the point where he starts investigating her and trying to find out all there is to know about her. He hacks into Starfire's computer and comes up with nothing. Starfire, being frustrated decides to take the team for some "mandatory fun" and this is where we get the carnival scene.
[I like this scene but hate this song.]
It's in this scene right here where we see the 2 characters really start to bond and develop feelings for each other, and it doesn't hit you over the head with it. A lot of it is subtle because these are two characters who are more closed off and like outcasts. The scene also works great because for the first time in his life Damian gets to be a kid and we actually get to see him laugh and smile for once. His rage is subdued and pretty much all of that has to do with Raven.
In this part here Damian is trying to maintain his tough as nails attitude. But, you can tell that he's been taken back by the kindness of Raven. Especially when he hears that "deep down he's a kind and generous soul." line. Raven has gotten to him in a good way.
Anyways after a bit of bonding and some dance off time the Titans find out about Raven's backstory. After telling the titans her backstory she ultimately decides to go her separate ways so that she doesn't endanger her friends. But, before she goes Damian stops her telling her that "if we can't save one of our own. Who can we save?" He's now fully committed to protecting her no matter the cost. Even after the justice league shows up telling the Titans that Raven is coming with them. Damian tells his father that it's their job and that they can protect her. (Much to the shock of the rest of the Justice League).
So Raven agrees to bring trigon to this world on the condition that the titans be spared. Eventually the team pairs up with cyborg and they go to stop trigon/save Raven. The team ends up going to hell because Raven has found a way to trap her father. When she find the crystal she is then attacked by an entity. Damian jumps in to defend her. Until he realizes it's his grandfather.
It's in this scene where Damian is given a choice to be bring his grandfather back by killing Raven. (Keep in mind his grandfather has been the most influential person in his entire life, Ra's was the one who told Damian that he was destined to be his heir and lead the league of assassins. He was also the person that Damian looked up to the most throughout his life. So when Ra's goes and talks to Damian he gives him a choice to prove his love by performing this one act that the old Damian who we met years ago in Son of Batman would have done in a heartbeat. It's a tough choice for Damian because while he really wants to bring back his grandfather he ultimately decides not to because he's not that type of person anymore, he has friends now, people who care for him. People who have shown him compassion and can relate to what he was going through. People like Raven.
After trigon is defeated Raven decides that she's going to stay in this realm to keep everyone safe. But, it's Damian who is the one to let her know that her home is with the titans. We get another moment where the two of them look at each other and smile before the movie ultimately ends.

Now, moving on to the judas contract. In this movie we don't really get as many interactions between the two of them. Although if you look throughout the film these 2 are almost always together in some capacity.
We get the scene where Damian talks to Raven about what she saw in Tara's mind, a bit of witty banter from Raven and then the biggest moment of all......
Just when I figured they were just going to drop the whole Damirae thing all together after not doing much with it throughout the whole movie. (Aside from a few of those interactions) Raven gives him Titus! This scene basically cements that the two of them are going to be a couple. Now, when a girl gives you a dog that isn't a family member she clearly likes you and wants something more then to just be friends....
Anyways with the overview done let's list some of the specific reasons as to why this pairing works and needs to happen.
