Author's Note: Ok so I wanted to give this a shot. Granted I'm no master writer. But, everyone has to start somewhere. Am I right? This is to help me so that I can improve and write something better down the road. I'm not the greatest with explaining detail. But, I'm going to try and do my best. Anyways, let's get it started. So basically this one shot takes place moments after Raven gives Damian the Dog in the Judas Contract. (I know a few people have already written about this example. But, I'm going to put my stamp on this one). Anyways, I hope that you all enjoy it and be sure to give me some feedback so that I can improve!
Damian was standing on the roof of Titans tower holding the mask of Slade Wilson. It had been a pretty traumatic couple of weeks for the team. Terra, who was believed to be their friend and ally had betrayed them and died shortly afterwards. It was tough on everyone. During this time Damian had been captured and tortured. Helpless, knowing he couldn't save his friends and just had to endure it all. As mad as he was at Terra he knew it was all Slade's doing. He knows the effect that Slade has on people. After all, he experienced it when he was younger. He thought he could try to help Terra. Maybe if he had more time he could save her from Slade and make things right. But, he couldn't. If only he knew earlier. He could have saved her....
As Damian was thinking about this Raven appeared beside him. Out of all the Titans Raven understood him more than anyone else. The two of them had a special bond and she was always looking out for him and he really appreciated it. Even if he didn't always admit it. Raven then turned to look at him and moved her cape that was covering her front out of the way to reveal a puppy that she was holding.

A few seconds passed before Damian Spoke.
Damian: "What's with the Dog?" Raven: "He's a rescue dog. I got him from the animal shelter."
Damian stared at the little puppy for a short time before Raven spoke again.
Raven: "I got him for you Damian."
Damian was surprised and taken back by what raven had said to him. She got a dog for Home? Why would she do that? He thought to himself.
Damian: "What made you want to do that?" Raven: "It's been a rough couple of weeks for all of us. With Brother Blood trying to kill us, Slade torturing you, and Terra dying it's not been a good time. I've noticed that you've looked really down lately and I've sensed that you're missing something in your life so I thought this would cheer you up and give you something special to hold on to."
Damian was surprised by the gesture on Raven's part and smiled at her.
Damian: "This is... one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me."
