"Confession"

It was fun dancing until Jungkook dragged you outside the school building and there you both sat on the concrete bench, just beside the entrance door. He gave you his coat for you not to get cold since it was already late in the evening and maybe the snow will fall soon. You kept quiet, yet you can't help but get curious on why he is not with Chanmi who was his date for tonight, but you.

"Why aren't you with Chanmi?" You asked as you brush the fringes off that was covering his face.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm with you." He scoffed and suddenly leaned back on the wall, but his eyes were still on you. "You're so pretty." He smiled.

You blushed but it was not obvious since it was kind of dark in where you both are now, then after a moment he suddenly rested his head on your shoulder.

"Y-ya, Jeon Jungkook. What are you doing.." You said feeling awkward all of the sudden. You wanted to push him away but your body seemed to like this closeness.

"I am so messed up." He sighed while closing his eyes. You blinked as you looked at him- his face looks like an angel but you were sure that he is not an angel. He's the coldest person you've ever known aside for yourself.

"Why you say so?" You can't help yourself from touching his hair. It was one of your fantasies to do something like that to the guy you liked, but Jungkook was different. You fell in love with him.

"I'm confused. I'm so sorry." He said and suddenly pulled away from you. You didn't speak and waited for him to continue. "I really don't want Kangwoo to take you to the dance.." He said, getting uneasy from what he was saying to you. "..because I don't want him to be your first dance. T-that should be me." He added, disheveling his hair in frustration when he finally said the reason. You frowned, your brows arched as you looked at him getting upset when he thinks about Kangwoo dancing with you, it really makes him crazy.

"Then if you say that, shouldn't you asked me to dance instead of Chanmi?" You asked though you find it cute knowing that he wants to be your first dance but the time he hurt your feelings it was like unforgivable.

"I don't know." He shook his head, making you sigh. You both looked at each other until he spoke again, "It's annoying."

"Yeah." You agreed nonchalantly, but you noticed his eyes were still on you as he asked 'why'.

Just as the moment that you're thinking of telling him how you feel about him, he suddenly covered your lips with his hand.

"Don't talk first." He said and before you could think of something, he pulled his hand away from you and suddenly pressed his lips against yours. You've gone stiff as you felt his lips on yours, and you don't even know if this was a dream or not but you were sure that it felt perfect. You felt his breath hit your skin when he pulled an inch away. You were dumbfounded, eyes close waiting for him to speak or waiting for him to kiss you again.

"W-why did y-" You tried to talk but then you were stopped when he kissed you for the second time, this time he cupped your cheeks for you not to move and as for you, how can you move if your whole body was as stiff as ice? Especially that your heart felt like it was banging wildly onto your ribcage inside. Your heartbeat was so loud that you can't hear the music that was playing inside the building. You just felt yourself getting drunk by his kiss until you just kissed him back. You don't know what you were both doing but in your heart, it felt like it was okay.

"What did we just do..?" He spoke the moment he left your lips, but his forehead was leaning on yours and his nose touching the tip of your nose as well.

"I don't know." You said holding his hand, you smiled when you felt his hands cold. "Your hands are cold Kook." You commented.

You finally said it to him. He didn't speak instead he just stared at you as you are struggling on how to tell everything to him. "I don't know what happened, I fell in love with you. I don't know. Should I say sorry for that? Or not? I'm not expecting anything or whatsoever, I just want to-"

"Haesoo, I have a girlfriend."

It felt like the world around you exploded all of the sudden as you heard those words came out from his mouth. Your heart was shattered to pieces in just one blow and you even felt your throat starts to burn like there was a deadly chemical inside.

"W-what?" You stammered, as you moved away from.

"S-since when? Chanmi?" You asked, if it's Chanmi then you'll accept it but there is no way Chanmi would give in like that, but there came another pain hit you when he shook his head. "Then who?" You can't help it at all, even answering your question made you feel like a fool.

"Hyunri." He said, looking down on the cold ground. You wanted him to look straight into your eyes, but he just keeps on avoiding it. You got mad and suddenly grabbed the coat off from your shoulder and threw it at him.

"Are you even telling the truth Jeon Jungkook?" You asked, trying to hold on the tears that are wanting to come out from your eyes already.

"I'm not forcing you to believe me." He said.

"Then congratulations." You scoffed, glaring at him with anger. You were very angry that you really wanted to punch him or throw him your shoes. Even if you don't ask him, he just played with your feelings.

"Haesoo let me explain I-" He stood up having that thought of explaining himself to you but you slapped him right across his face. "H-Haesoo-a."

"Don't call me 'Haesoo-a' you idiot!" You hissed, you wanted to yell at him though but no, or the people might found out what's going on with you two. "Why do you keep on doing that? You make me fall for you and then what? You kissed me and then what? I told you I love you and then what? And you just say you have a girlfriend? How freaking stupid are you Jungkook? Why are you doing this to me? Huh? You think it's funny? Huh? Do you think it's fun to see that I'm hurt? I'm freaking crying because of you now! Can't you see? Huh? Huh? Jeon Jungkook!" You just can't stop yourself from talking, from pouring out all your feelings to him. You hated him. You hated him so much. Every word you say you wanted him to understand, you wanted him to feel what you're feeling.

"WE ARE JUST BEST FRIENDS!" He suddenly yelled back, holding both of your shoulders making you stop. You lost your mind and just stared at him for a moment before your head fell down and tears start to fall. "Just best friends Haesoo."

"N-no, you don't." You looked up, shaking your head, disagreeing with what he said. "Please stop it whatever you are doing, I've had enough. I don't even know what's the real thing here. Am I really your best friend? Or just someone you spend time with when you're bored?" You said between sobs. It was the very first time you felt your heart burst out, telling all the things you've been keeping from him. You felt like everything around you was fake and even the person whom you trusted was fake. You gently wipe your tears as you turn your back on him when he held your hand pulling you back but you slapped him again and completely left.

You went back inside the building and met Kangwoo who was looking for you.

"Haesoo where have you- why are you crying?"

"Kangwoo, I want to go home." You said and you really didn't give him a chance to say no.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Kangwoo asked you as he watched you crying quietly beside him.

"I'm fine." You said, opening the car door but he stopped you by holding your hand.

"C'mon dude, I don't like seeing you like that." He said you can tell that he was really sincere and how you wished Jungkook was like that too. "Haesoo."

"I'm fine Kangwoo." You smiled despite your soaked eyes. You pulled him close to you and gave him a kiss on the cheek for being your hero, for being the person to take you away from the prom. You really don't have something to say to him, not even a thank you but with that kiss, you knew he was happy about it.

"C-can you give my other cheek too?" He chuckled and without a word you gave him another peck on the cheek. "Nice, I'll see you next week. Okay?"

"Okay." You nodded and finally got out of the car.

The car left soon as you waved goodbye to Kangwoo, who was still going back to the prom. You sighed and just found yourself crying in front of the door again.

"Damn it, Jeon Jungkook." You cursed under your breath as you wiped your tears with your hands.

Starting this night, you promised to yourself that you'll never ever speak to him again.
