This time it's Marc who moves closer, causing me to close my eyes as he closes the gap between us, our lips moving slowly against one another. This is a magic bubble I never want to burst.

"Marc! Alexa! Dinner is getting cold!" mom calls out from downstairs, bursting the magic bubble Marc and I were in. Marc pulls away from me and looks expectantly into my eyes, probably wanting to see my reaction.

"Alexa...," he whispers but I shake my head, telling him I need some time to process this. Marc looks down and nods understandingly. Then he steps away from me and makes his way downstairs, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I try to make sense of what just happened. How did I end up with his lips on mine? And how is it possible that I loved it as much as I did? When we woke up this morning, we were just friends. When I came home from school, we were just friends.

"Alexa! Hurry up!" I hear mom call out again.

"I'm not hungry!" I reply and it's not even a lie. The kiss didn't only mess with my brain, it messed with my appetite as well. Also, I really don't feel like sitting at the dining table with Marc right now and pretend that nothing is going on. Way too much is going in my mind to be able to do that.

"You have to eat something!"

"I'll have something later, I promise."

"I'll get Marc to bring you something," mom tells me, making my eyes widen. That's the last thing I need right now.

"No, that's okay!"

"You have to eat something Alexa!"

"I know and I will."

"Okay then," mom says before I hear her walk away. I sigh in relief and go back into my room. I sit down on my bed and let myself fall onto my back as I reply the kiss in my mind. I could've never imagined the effect this kiss would have on me. Never before did a kiss have such an effect on me.

"Alexa?" the one voice I don't want to hear right now says.

"Yeah?" I reply as I sit up. Marc makes his way towards me with a plate in his hands.

"Your mom told me to bring you some dinner," he says as he puts the plate down on my desk.

"Thanks, you didn't have to."

"Your mom didn't really give me a choice."

"She does that sometimes."

"Yeah...," Marc says as he sits down next to me. Neither of us know what to say or what to do. Both of us know things changed between us and we can't go back.

"Marc, I...," I start but I don't know how to express how I feel, making me sigh.

"Alexa, I know how you feel. I'm confused as well and I already knew I liked you. I can't even imagine how you feel. But I do know that I really enjoyed our kiss and I really want to do it again," Marc tells me as he looks into my eyes, taking my hand as he speaks.

"Me too," I say, making Marc smile. Marc leans in towards me, making me smile as well.

"Can I?" Marc asks and I nod, giving him permission to close the gap between us for the second time today. Marc does exactly that and puts his hand against my cheek to keep me from pulling away. Not that I was thinking about doing that. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me, causing Marc to smile against my lips. It doesn't take long before I feel Marc's tongue poke against my lips and I don't have to think twice about letting him in. I completely forget everything that is going on around me and lose myself in the kiss. Once again, I'm in a magic bubble with Marc.
