Not So Happily Ever After (A Niall Horan Fanfic)

Chapter 7

Kayla's P.O.V.

I woke up at 10 am and the kids were gone. Hanna text me and told me they were at school and she was at work. I went downstairs and got a bowl of coco puffs. I sat and ate until the doorbell rang.

*Ding Dong*

I had no idea who it was because I didnt think I had any plans. I went to the door and looked out the window next to it. It was Niall. I forgot about our date. Oops. I opened the door even though I was still in my pjs.

"Hi Niall."

"Hi. Are you going in your pajamas?" he chuckled.

"No. I just woke up. I still have to eat, shower, and get dressed." I said.

"Okay. Can I come in then?"

"Yeah. I'll be in the kitchen."

"Okay." He said following me. I finished my food fast and went upstairs to my room. He ended up following me there too.

"Why are you here so early anyway?" I said

"Because I wanted to hang out before we left, and I didn't really want to sit in the hotel room all day."

"Of course." I said grabbing a pink shirt with a lace back and a pair of black skinny jeans. "Stay here while I go shower." I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I took a fast shower. Or at least fast for me. I pulled on my clothes. Then I brushed my hair and braided it on the side. I brushed my teeth and went back to my room. 

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yup." I said grabbing my phone off the bed. We went out to his car and got in. "So where are we going?"

"Somewhere." he says smirking. "So where are your parents? I know you have cousins, but they are the only ones I've seen besides Hanna."

"Umm... can we talk about something else?"

"Sure." he said noticing that mentioning them made me feel sad. "What do you want to talk about?"

"Anything." I said. He started talking about growing up in Ireland and told some stories about him and his friends.

"This one time, after school, me and my friends went to the football field to play. I got hit in the head with the ball a lot more than normal. It hurt pretty bad, but it was hilarious. We all laughed so hard we couldn't breathe. The other people walking by the feild thought we were all mad."

I laughed at his stories. We pulled up to a small restaurant. It was completely empty. There was one table set up for two with a candle in the middle. It was weird that there was no one there, because we use to drive past it all the time and there was never an open table. He must have reserved it all. We went inside and took our seat at the small table. The menus were already there for us.

"When I was little, we used to drive by here all the time and it was always full. How did you get the whole place reserved?"

"I know a few people." He said smiling at me. He had the best smile I had ever seen. We ordered our pastas and pop. The waitress came back with our drinks within a few minutes.

"Your food will be out in about 10 minutes. By the way I'm Anna." she said smiling at Niall.

"Okay." Niall said looking at me and smiling. I was surprised that he had ignored her most the time, because she was a lot prettier than I was. She left the table. We went back to talking. 

She came back and gave us our food. "Hope you enjoy it." She said while giving Niall a flirty look and ignoring me.

"Thanks." Niall said. She left the table and stood by the kitchen door, watching us the whole time. I tried to ignore her while we talked. When we finished our food, she came back.

"Do you want some dessert?" She asked. Niall looked over at me. 

"I'm full."

"No, we are good." He said. "Are you ready to go?"

"Sure. What are we doing next?"

"Its a surprise." He said kissing me. We got up and went back to his car. "I have one question for you before we get there though."

"Ok. What is it?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes." I said  right before he kissed me again.

We drove to a little park. I had never been here before. There weren't any kids around because they were all in school. There were a few trees and a small lake. There was still some ice covering it because of the cold winter. There was barely any snow there, which was surprising since it wasn't very warm yet. We walked around holding hands. It was quiet and peaceful. There weren't many cars driving around even though we were still lose to the cities. I liked it here. We talked and wasted time . He must have something else planned in a few hours.

*buzz buzz* my phone vibrated. Shit I forgot to tell Hanna that I had a date with Niall. I opened the message from her.

Hanna:

Where are you? You haven't answered from this morning still.

Me:

Sorry I forgot to text you before I left. I'm on a date with Niall.

Hanna: 

Oh ok. Sorry for worrying, its just that I didnt know if your dad showed up. Anyway Have fun :)

Hanna:

Its Okay. I will.

"Who was that?" Niall asked.

"Hanna. I forgot to tell her where I was going this morning."

"Oh. Well are you ready for the other part of the date?"

"Sure." We walked back to the car. It was about 3 pm. We drove back into the cities and to the Target Center. The signs were flashing with pictures of a red headed guy. His name was Ed Sheeran.

We got out of his car and walked to the Target Center. There were a lot of fans outside. We went through the doors and Niall showed them the backstage passes. We walked backstage holding hands. We got to a room with a few couches in it. We went in and there was the red head guy that was on the screen outside. 

"Hey Ed." Niall said. I assumed they were friends because of how laid back he was.

"Hi Horan. Who is this?" He said in an accent similar to Nialls band.

"This is my girlfriend, Kayla."

"Hi." I said shyly.

"Oh so this is the girl you never stop talking about." Ed said. Niall and I started blushing.

"Harry is here, isn't he?" 

"Yes. He was telling me everything about what has happened since I last saw you guys." Harry walked in as we sat down next to Ed.

"Hi Kayla and Niall."

"Hi." we said in unison.

We all hung out in that room until Ed had to go get ready. Harry and Niall went into the dressing room and put costumes on. Niall came out with a brown wig on, a mustache, and some normal clothes. Harry was wearing a red wig, a mustach, a grey shirt, and sweat pants. We went to our seats.

The arena was filling in fast. Soon the lights Dim and Ed came out. He was really good at singing and rapping. When he was talking I couldnt understand most of it, because he talked fast and had a really strong accent. After the concert was over we went backstage. We had to wait for most the fans to leave so they don't figure out who the boys were. 

We walked back to the car after saying bye to Ed and Harry. We got in and turned the heat on. 

"Kayla?"

"Yeah?"

"Since the boys and I are on tour we have to leave tomorrow."
