Haven ran out of the pipe and jumped on his back.
When I loosened my grip on him and let go. I began too look around. Of course I was looking for my mother.
I missed her the most. I stopped looking for her and brought my gaze to my father.
"Where's mom?" I said happy because I couldn't wait too see her.
He then slowly shook his head no.
"What do you mean no?" I said nervously.
"When we went to to-" he stuttered a bit.
"When we went to go find you at the house there were snakes there we listened to their conversation and they spotted us. They chased after us and they caught up with your mom. They took her her-" he stuttered again.
"Dad it's okay we'll get her back from them." I said in a sure voice.
"No Cass, they took her life!" He yelled.
I stumbled back.
All I could do was fall to the ground. Crying. I heard Cassidy do the same.
I didn't speak for the rest of the time. Just listening to them speak. Well they didn't speak that much.
The boy who I now realized as I kid from my 5th period. He doesn't speak much. He's kinda a nerd.
"She is." He said to my dad. My dad kinda let out a small giggle and shook his head.
I had no idea what he was talking about. I didn't really care either.
Why'd she gave to leave me... us.
How could those stupid snakes kill her. The stupid copperhead. I don't know what kinda snake it was.
So I asked "what kinda snake was it"
"Honey, it wasn't an actual snake, that's what we call the government."
My dad said as he put his arm around my shoulder.
I pushed it off. I didn't want to be touched right now.
Probably not ever. Not until I got a hug from my mother. That was impossible though so probably not ever. Don't talk to me either. I don't want to hear it until I hear her voice. That was impossible too so oh well.
I stopped my train of thought. I was partly over her death now. Only because I expected it. Sorta kinda. Someone was gonna die. I just didn't want it to be her. Or anyone. But it was bound to happen.
I felt bad for my dad. They had there problems. But he loved her.
Poor dad. I thought. He watched her die.
