Chapter 21: We Can Work It Out

Flashback...20 April 1963

Well, it's been about 2 months since the whole incident with Paul. You'd think that he and I would have worked things out by now, but nope, we're still not talking. I've tried a few times speak with him, but it always ends with him either hanging up the phone or slamming the door in my face. I'm honestly to the point of being completely done with it, if he's going to accuse me of being a liar and being jealous, then I'm done. Quite frankly I think everyone's irritated with Paul being such an arse to me. If someone mentions me while he's around he scoffs and makes a smart remark. George almost punched him the one day for what he said.

Other than Paul being an arse, Emily's currently 3 1/2 to 4 months pregnant. Brian hasn't had them make an announcement to the public yet, he said we wants to wait a bit longer. She's honestly just so happy with her pregnancy, all she talks about it the baby this or Paul and I that. It's like that really annoying happy tone every time she talks. Course I have no room to talk though.

It was just another Saturday, Ritchie and I were just having a lazy day in the apartment. He was laying on the couch watching The Wizard of Oz while I was making us lunch.

"You know Ritchie, this movie could really relate to us." I walked out of the kitchen area and sat our two sandwiches on the little table in the living room.

He swung his feet down on the ground and sat up. "How so?"

I sat down next to him. "Well, I'd be Dorothy, you'd be the Scarecrow, John would be the Tin Man, George would be the Cowardly Lion, Bri would be Glinda the good witch and Paul would be the Wicked Witch."

He turned to me, shaking his head and letting out a small laugh. "Oh yes, course Paul would be the Wicked Witch. You have such an interesting imagination there, love."

"I know I do. Now, what all shall we do on our amazing lazy day?"

"Well, I was thinking you and I could just lay here on the couch and cuddle for a while or lay in bed and cuddle. But sometime today a friend of mine is stopping over for a bit." He picked up his sandwich, taking a bite out of it.

I turned to him. "I like the idea of cuddling, but which one of your friends are coming over?"

"Oh, just a friend from back in Liverpool. You'll know him when you see 'im."

I nodded and we both went back to eating our sandwiches. After that we both laid down on the couch and finished watching the Wizard of Oz. As soon as it finished we heard a knock on the door.

"Well, he's here early." Ritchie quickly got up and rushed to the door.

"Jim! I'm glad you're here, come in."

Jim? Wait, Jim as in my dad Jim?

"Thank you Richard, hello baby girl."

I looked over at the door to see my dad standing there. "Daddy, hi. What are you doing here?"

"Your old dad doesn't even get a hug first?"

I stood up, giving a wide smile and going over to hug my dad.  "There we go, now to answer your question Ringo and the others asked me to come up here to talk with you and your brother."

I looked at him in confusion. "Mike? But Mike and I are completely fine. We saw each other earlier this week."

"No Pamela, you and your other brother."

"But I don't have another brother, it's just Mike and I."

He rolled his eyes at me. "Pamela, you know who I'm talking about."
