Chapter 27: Act Naturally

Flashback...14 Nov 1963

It's official, John and Bri have been married for a little over 3 months. They seem more happier than ever since the wedding, I'm still so happy for them. Other than those two being the happy married couple they are The Beatles have been pretty successful within these past few months. They received an award for Top Vocal Group of the Year at the Variety Club Awards lunch, they've had a few small tours, had live appearances and things like that.

While the four of them have been doing that Bri's been trying out for parts in some movies, plays and things and I've been traveling around for my photography. With all of us being so busy Bri and I haven't really had a girls day out in a long time. We both found a day we had free so we decided to go back home for part of day since we can't get any privacy in London due to being Beatle women. The two of us drove down to Liverpool and arrived at our favorite park. We went and got ourselves an order of fish and chips and went and sat down at our favorite spot.

"It's so nice to finally have a day to ourselves."

I nodded. "It is. I feel like we haven't done anything together for a while."

"I agree. So how's the photography thing going?"

I took a bite of my fish. "It's going really well, I swear I've been traveling here, there and everywhere around the London area. How's the acting life going? Get any roles yet?"

She shook her head. "No not yet, there's a few movies that I'm hoping to get a part in one of them. But they'd have to be smaller, but yet important parts. I actually can't be acting for too long."

I looked up at her with confused look. "Wait, what do you mean you can't be acting for too long? Being an actress has been your dream since I met you."

"It is, but I just can't do it for too long. Pam I'm pregnant."

I looked at her and smiled. "Bri congratulations! I'm so happy for you and John."

She smiled back. "Thank you, we're both really excited about the thought of it all. Honestly I thought you'd be the first one to go through getting married and having kids and all."

I shook my head and let out a sigh. "I swear you and John always bring this up. Yes I thought I would too, but I'm happy that you're happily married with a baby on the way."

"Well thank you and yes John and I do bring this up, Ringo needs to pop the question."

I rolled my eyes. "And he will when the time is right. Now no more talk of that, let's go drive around for a while."

From there we left the park and drove around Liverpool for a while. She went to see her parents and I stopped over to my dad's house and at Harry and Elsie's, we went to the Cavern for old times sake, we stopped at the apartment to check on things, we just had a great time going to all of our old favorite places to go.

A few hours later we got into the car and drove back to London. When we got back we walked into John and Bri's house. Bri walked over to the couch and sat down.

"That was a great day, it was a well needed day back home."

I sat next to her. "I agree, it was good to see everything again."

She nodded. "It was." She opened her mouth to say something else, but was stopped by the ringing of the phone.

After about 5 minutes she hung up the phone and turned to me. "I got the role!"

"Congrats Bri! That's great news! I'm so happy for you."

She smiled. "Thank you. I just can't believe I got it. The filming is in New York and I have to leave in a month."
