I wipe my eyes, and stare at the fire.
I'm so pathetic.
"Lucy?"
I freeze, before turning my head to see Happy, wide awake and staring at me with concern.
"Are you crying?"
I want to say no, but that would just be stupid.
"Yes."
He flies up and sits next to me.
"Why?"
"Just thinking."
"Of what?"
"Nothing."
"Lucyyyy."
"The people that I've lost."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. You didn't do anything."
He looks up at me.
"It may not help much, but I'll always be here. I know we don't know each other much, but I really like you."
My eyes tear up at his words.
It may not have always seemed like it, but I love you Happy. I truly do.
I smile down at him, and my hand pets his head as he falls back asleep.
"Thank you, Happy."
