"i can't believe i let you two drag me along to the theme park of all places." han jiah said, rolling her eyes as she leaned against the railings while she lined up for the largest rollercoaster ride in the theme park.

her friends, jin seulin and choi eunhye who were both in front of her turned with knowing grins on their faces.

"oh jiah, our jiah. i know you're afraid of rollercoasters but trust me and eunhye on this, it'll be fun!" seulin said, bopping her head up and down.

"yeah, look how high it goes, right to the top! then woosh at top speed!" eunhye said, pointing at the rollercoaster that just made a downward acceleration.

"not helping." jiah said, rolling her eyes. "besides, im not afraid! it's just a ride."

"right, of course. oH- seul, don't look now but daniel is here!" eunhye hissed, her eyes fixed on someone a few spaces behind them in the line of people.

jiah casually turned her head to see tall and broad shouldered kang daniel, schoolmate of the three and also the boy who seulin had a not so tiny crush on.

"is he alone?" seulin asked, not daring to turn around and look.

"uh, no. he's with kim taedong and their short friend, what's his name? yeo hwanwoong?" jiah said, squinting because she could barely see hwanwoong even though he was in front of his two tall friends.

"oh phew, he's not with a girl." a smile returned to seulin's face.

"you should just-" eunhye was cut off when the velvet rope that sealed off the entry to the ride itself was opened up and they were gestured into the area by a worker.

eunhye and seulin scrambled into the front car of the rollercoaster, leaving jiah to sit by herself behind them. as she was buckling up, feeling worse and worse about this as the seconds went by, someone got into the seat beside her.
