that day after saying goodbye to eunhye and taedong who were walking to his car, jiah turned around to the way to her house.

"jiah!" a voice called.

she turned around to see jihoon running to catch up with her.

"hi jihoon, shouldnt you be going that way?" she pointed at where eunhye and taedong were headed.

"i should. but i wanted to walk you home. is that okay?" he said, straightforwardly.

"oh, sure." jiah smiled. without wasting any time, jihoon began to walk.

"so, i wanted to ask. what's that hwanwoong guy to you?" he asked.

jiah couldn't help but look around in case hwanwoong was somewhere there.

"hwanwoong? he's.. nothing. we're just friends." she said, shrugging to herself.

"oh really? that's cool." jihoon nodded to himself. "will you be at taedong hyung's birthday dinner?"

"why is he the only one you call with honorifics?" jiah asked, not answering his question yet. jihoon shrugged.

"and yes, i'll be there. he invited you?" jiah asked, because she thought it would be the six of them.

"yes, im excited to see you there." jihoon said, his already rosy cheeks seemed even redder.

"oh?" jiah held back a laugh, suddenly feeling shy in front of the younger boy.

"yes, i think-" jihoon was cut off when jiah came to a stop and pointed at the house the stopped in front.

"hey, here's my place. thanks for walking me home. see you, jihoon!" jiah said, waving him off.

when she got into the house, she took out her phone and saw a message that she recieved around the time school ended but hadn't looked at it until now.

hwanwoong: hey do you want me to walk you home?

hwanwoong: okay its been 10 minutes

hwanwoong: i assume you've already left

hwanwoong: see you tomorrow i guess

jiah: sorry about that woongie, just saw these messages

jiah: jihoon walked me home

hwanwoong: oh really?

hwanwoong: ok then
