Constantine's POV:

I had looked for Carter the entire day but I still couldn't find her. Where is she? I would have skipped classes with her if she told me. With a frown marring my face I sat on my bed. Her lights were off in her room and I hadn't seen her in it earlier so she still wasn't home.

As I go to turn off my lights, Carters flicker on. The irony. Looking up I watch as she makes her way into her room, a bag clutched in her hand. I was about to call out, but stop when she violently dumps out the bag onto her bed. When she grabs a bag that looks suspiciously like weed I smirk, so she left to go get more weed?if only she just asked me, i have more than enough. When I finally look at Carter again I realize she is crying while holding some pictures.

Opening my window I throw a pencil at her window. Nothing. Dammit now is the time that I can't get her attention. Really?

Grabbing a plastic water bottle I throw it hoping she would hear it and look up.

I sign in relief when I see her body jolt and she looks up. Waving I wait for her to open her window.

Making her way towards me she opens her window and she leans out and waves back.

"Sunshine are you okay? Where were you today, why are you crying? Did someone hurt you?"

"No Constantine's I'm fine I promise, I'm really tired I'll talk to you in the morning" she wipes her tear stained cheeks and with lifeless eyes goes to close her window.

"Fine but I'm driving you" my words leave no room for argument and a frown marres my face.

She nods her head in agreement and shuts her window.

Leaning against my car, I wait for Carter to come outside so we can go to school. At this rate we will be lucky to make it there by the end of first period.

Walking out of her house, she slams the front door, and begins walking in my direction. She is wearing black ripped skinny jeans and a huge red tee shirt and her hair black hiar tumbles down her back in uncontrollable waves. She looks fucking adorable. I know I can't tell he that with getting threats of bodily harm so instead i say,

"Good morning Sunshine"

With a grunt she gets in the car a frown adorning her face.

I finally ask, "Where were you yesterday?"

"I had to visit a friend" she mutters dejectedly.

Must be a terrible friend, I think. "What friend" I say my voice disinterested.

"Doesn't matter"

"Why doesn't it ma-"

"Will you just stop talking! What is this an integration session???"

Yeah definitely not a friend, time to back it up. "That isn't what I was trying to do.. I just, you were crying I was worried." I confide.

"Why would you care? You meet me literally a couple of weeks ago, and we are not dating, so I don't see why me crying concerns you!"

Although her expression and voice say she was angry, she can't hide what her eyes said. And they are screaming, for help or for something else I can't tell.

I jerk the wheel, pulling off to the side of the road.

"What the hell do you think you are doing"
