Maria's POV

Joseph then smiled evilly at me, before walking next to me.

I then felt his finger on my shoulder. I only shuddered in disgust and anger but my heart was racing to the thought on what will he do to me, inside an old warehouse, my surrounding were only blackness and that bitch, Ana was nowhere to be seen.

"Just be quiet, baby." He said disgustingly near my ear.

I only squirmed, which made him laughed like a villain.

My anxiety was already rising to a critical and I can hear my heartbeat began to beat louder and louder.

Suddenly, words impulsively escaped my mouth.

"Just let me go! I don't have anything! My father is dead and he's at peace now! Just leave us alone!" I suddenly was slapped, very hard that my bottom lip bled and cheek went sore.

"Tough words, princess." I just faced with angry eyes and my breathing hard.

"Oh, about your father..." I stopped. He had a wicked smile telling me something was wrong.

"I killed him." I gasped before crying. No! God, no! Papa!...

I then stopped my crying after realizing this man in front of me...was a murderer.

"Hmm...you seemed quiet. What's wrong, princess? I don't like to be quiet." He began to circle around just like a predator waiting to kill its prey.

"Speak!" He shouted after grabbing my chin furiously making me look at him.

"Please...just let me go." I said, crying.

He then said the words that made me frightened, my skin tingled, my heartbeat faster than ever and my body became paralyzed "Not until I have you first."

He suddenly punched me, before blackness took over me...

Victor's POV

"Where the Hell is the police!?" I asked Nadir, my patience wearing thin.

We were now outside a worn out warehouse just by the river. It was too far from school and the bridge was close by.

"They are almost here. I can hear a few sirens." I sighed.

"Nadir, I'm sorry if I have to do this, but do you have a gun?" Nadir then looked at me with wide eyes before saying, the words that shocked me "You and your love. It's in the compartment on the front."

My dad taught me how to use a gun and combat because I needed it for protection in future purposes while I never knew why Nadir has a gun, but I have to ask him later because Maria's the main topic here.

"Nadir, whatever happens to me, I want you to know...You've always been the best friend a man could ever have...and tell my family, I love them." I was about to get up when Nadir caught my arm before saying "Me, too."

I nodded. I took a deep breath to calm my fast heartbeat and began to walk near the dark gate of the warehouse.

I leaned on the wall after taking a breath, I pointed at my gun first before entering the dark warehouse.

It was filled with shelves of spare parts of cars and it was dim lit, but I held on to my courage.

I have already passed a few dark and dusty aisles before I stopped.

I saw a familiar woman standing in the middle of the aisles, she was looking at me with such intense silver eyes that my bravery lessen.

But as the only man here, I bravely pointed her my gun but...peculiarly she didn't cower in fear or say anything...only looking at me, with her eyes.
