Victor's POV"Mom, come on. We have to get going Graduation starts less than thirty minutes." I said after she took another picture even with my mask on.
Everyone even at school really accepted to what I am, yet there always bullies but I ignored especially when Maria's by my side.
Today was Graduation...and my whole body was a nervous wreck.
"Alright, but I will drive." Mom said, taking the family van's care keys...
After the end of Graduation, I tried to find Maria before most of the people go to their Graduation parties and some go home. The Graduation was quite emotional considering a lot were crying their hearts because everyone was going their separate ways.
"Victor!" I turn around and was immediately met by Maria's arms hugging me.
After a while, she separated herself from me and gave me a wide smile.
She always had the smile but this time it was different. It was wider than ever.
"You seemed to be quite ecstatic than ever. What's the news?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and crossed arms.
She didn't say anything before grabbing my arm quite excitedly, dragging me to where she's going.
After a few dragging, we finally ended up in our music room.
She sat on the piano bench with a gentle smile on her face. She looked at me before motioning me to sit beside her.
I sat silently and listened before she began to play 'All I Ask Of You'.
There was no sheet music and she only played making me quite proud of her. All the lessons I had with her had paid off wonderfully.
It was so beautiful...before she peculiarly stopped.
"Maria..." I looked st her, her fingers still pressed on the piano keys, and her head was lowered.
I gently placed my hands on her shoulders and asked her "Maria, is there something wrong? Earlier you were ecstatic about something and now you stopped that beautiful piece."
"I...I...was...only trying to look on the bright side...because I got news from Julliard in New York." I widened my eyes in surprise. Julliard!?! That's the most prestigious school of Performing Arts in America!
"Maria, you're telling me you got a scholarship in Julliard." She nodded which made me hug her with joy.
"You should be happy. I'm happy for you....You have passed many hardships...and this will be your start of your passion on going on stage." I said as I caressed her hair.
"It's just I'm gonna miss you." She said, tightening her grip on my shirt.
"Me too..." I said, full of sadness. I am going to miss her more than anything.
"Just promise...you'll come when I call for you or when I need to talk to you, you'll be there." I only sealed that promise with a long kiss.
After the kiss, I whispered near her ear a "Yes".
She smiled while looking at me. Her hand was then on my mask...after a while, she removed it without any hesitation.
She placed it on the piano and looked at me again with so much love and care that I have never seen in any person.
I cupped her cheek as I stared into those beautiful brown eyes. I then crashed my lips onto hers.
Her lips were always soft even with the seductive red lipstick she was wearing earlier.
