Maria's POV

It has been a few months since the 'incident'. Me and Victor got spend more time than ever in his lair under the Opera House. We are even officially and finally in a relationship but still with the supervision of Richard and Victor's father.

Speaking of Richard, he and Mom's wedding was quite beautiful. It was like a snow paradise filled with white flowers, white dresses and white suits. I was quite fond to the pick of the theme actually.

I realized as the reception went on, Mom finally found happiness with Richard and maybe Dad must be glad in Heaven, she's happy again.

For now, they already finished their honeymoon in Hawaii and they are quite alright to Richard's busy schedule.

Me and my siblings had finally bonded to one another again. Swimming by the pool or just playing board games or video games. They must be concerned to what happened to me, but I'm fine.

My grades were turning a bit the downside but there was always Victor to help me. We both helped out each other on grades even with the help of Nadir.

My first impression on him was he had a exotic look in him. As the days go by, he was quite nice and fatherly.

Today, my head was spinning from all the Math and History we were both learning down his lair.

"Uh! Can't we have a small break? I think my head is going to explode from all this!" I pouted after giving an annoying sigh. All of these History and Science is making my head spin. I was situated next to a table filled with books while Victor was sitting next to me, not disturbed by all of the lessons.

"Nope, you have to finish answering that. You do need that for grades and Finals is only a week away. It's only 6:30." Nadir said, as he placed a cup of coffee in front of me.

"Oh, look who's talking. A doctor who's not a teacher in Math." I annoyingly teased.

Suddenly, Victor began to chuckle which made me smile.

"Let's make a deal if you answer my five questions, I'll let you have a break for half an hour?" Now, that was tempting.

Unexpectedly, Victor began to snicker which made me quite annoyed.

"What?" I asked, crossing my arms while glaring at him.

"You know, you're in this,too. If she answers all of my questions, you can do anything that your heart desires. But that will only last for half the hour." That made him froze and silent...before begging "Please, Maria. Please answer them and I'll do anything."

I then gave an evil smile to the pitiful man in front of me. "Alright, ask away." I asked Nadir.

"What percentage of the earth is covered by water?"

"About 71 percent of the earth's surface is covered by water."

"What sorts of signals does the brain use to communicate sensations, thoughts and actions?

"The single cells in the brain communicate through electrical and chemical signals."

"Correct again. Three more questions and you're both free."

"No. Dinosaurs went extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period, 65 million years ago. Modern humans did not appear until around 200,000 years ago."
