So I am in exam week, and even if I have less than ten chapters left for book one (I think) I don't think that there will be any more updates for this week. For two weeks I'm on Easter break, so expect a wave of updates then :) Please remember to vote and if you can comment. Thank you. This chapter is dark, if you don't want to read the dark bit then skip October's P.O.V from then on. I'll leave you a brief summary at the end.
Quincy's P.O.V
It took a while for him to answer, generally far too long for comfort. Eventually he shook his head, his lips pursing as he knitted his blonde eyebrows together. I breathed, holding my intake of air, anticipating his reply sooner rather than later.
"What is that?" He finally said, boring his eyes into me. My sweet, sweat October as confused per normal...now more confused than ever before. Shrugging, I felt the swelling of the knot go down hinting at me that I could move now. Wincing I did so, gradually peeling my body off his own as I found my feet. Collecting my clothes that had been tossed about the place randomly, I began to dress myself up again.
October sat in the small bijou like hospital bed, eventually grasping the initiative to search for his own clothing (or to be more precise the white thin pyjama-like garments that had worn underneath his duelling suit) . We did this for a couple of minutes in silence, until he was nearly done and fiddling with his buttons. Fully dressed, I approached him as I finished up the buttoning. He smiled at me gratefully, bewildered but grateful nonetheless as he pecked me on the cheek lightly.
"You smell great," He said, stroking my waist, "How long does this heat thing last for again?" Nuzzling into my neck as he did so.
"Two to three days." I said dimly, "Ignore the smell. We can get it sorted after we talk." I promised. Alphas were extremely territorial over their Mate when in heat, several didn't even allow them to venture out of the room, engaging in sexual pleasures for several hours until the Omega begged them to stop, or required necessities such as food or water. October, this being his first official heat with me held unto my hip, wary of me venturing apart from his side.
"Don't go." He murmured, sniffing at me. He had already begun to press his again hardened shaft against my member, a chorus of moans escaping me as he grinned cheekily. Regaining my dignity, I swiftly shoved him off, mumbling something about setting the hospital bed before we left. It wasn't honestly a hospital here, more like a little resting place. The area all especially woodsy and homely, a fire a bit far off to the west with the only hint of this room ever being slightly medical was a dusty antiquated medicine cabinet. A cabinet filled with different potions and liquors, inserted into varying degrees of twisted bottles and dishes. Once done with the bed I attacked those, righting anything that I might have ruined.
I exhaled when finished, waving at October to open a window (for airing - the steam of previous events was stifling!) after I grabbed his arm, leading him out of the door. October frowned, following behind me obediently. A succession of Betas rapidly raced out of our way when they saw us approaching, normally I would have assumed that the heat scent, and October's overprotective aura were enough to deter us except now I knew why they were actually avoiding us.
October. He was the reason, not that I blamed them. If I wasn't his Mate or knew him any better I would too be steering clear of him. He wasn't dangerous though, the October that I knew. He was lovable, sweet, kind furthermore even if he was an idiot he was painfully honest plus innocent to the extent that none could surpass him. Even if what he had done...
