To Be in Starlight

"I'm sure Zanes in his room honey. He should know when Garte will be coming"

Aaron's parents where approaching Zanes room. The only problem? Kawaii~Chan who Zane smuggled to Starlight doesn't have a ticket ,and no ticket means YOUR NEVER GONNA SEE AARMAU SAIL AND IM PRETTY SURE MARIAS TRYING TO SABOTAGE IT. (ahem) Well that escalated faster than I thought it would. Moving on.

"Quick Kawaii~Chan hide!" Zane shout whispered. "Kawaii~Chan doesn't know where to go." You would think you have all he time in the world, but no. Zane heard a creak. He turned his head to the side just to see the door to slowly open.

In Zanes mind his first reaction is, shove Kawaii~Chan behind the door. Now, Kawaii~Chans tail stuck out so it basically looked like a Neko~Atsume door. Best way to explain it. Derrik and his wife came in. "Hello Zane" Derriks wife said. "H-hi Mr and Mrs Lichen" Zane stuttered. He hid his hands behind his back. And he kept taking a step back every time they stepped towards him.

"Are you okay Zane?" Derrik asked. "Zane was always...." she paused. "different growing up" she forced a smile. "Heh, yeah" Derrik said also forcing a smile.

"Anyway, did you guys need anything?" Zane asked, trying to pretend he didn't hear what they said. "Uh yes actually we would like to know if yo-" Mid-sentence there was a very loud, "That was Kawaii~Chans tail!"

Derrik closed the door so he could see what's behind it. "And who is this?" Derrik asked. "I can explain Mr. Lichen" Zane nervously said.

"Hey Aaron!" Maria said running up to him.
"Hey Maria." Aaron replied. "Your never gonna believe this, but I got tickets to a concert called the Road Dogs." Maria said stepping closer to Aaron.

Aaron noticed this. He thought she just wanted him to see the tickets so he was fine with it. "Anyway wanna come?" Maria asked curiously.
"Sure! As long as I can take Aphmau. I know she would want to see the concert with me." Aaron said.

"Take me to see what?" Aph said walking up to Aaron. She gave him a kiss and hugged him. Maria let out a quiet scowl. "Babe, Maria got tickets to a concert and I knew you would want to go." Aaron said. "Ooo who's performing." Aphmau asked. "They're called the Road Dogs." Maria said brushing her off.

"That sounds like fun!"Aphmau cheered. "Oh I forgot." Maria said. "Forgot what?" Aaron asked. "There's only 2 tickets." Maria said as if she forgot. They argued back and forth about who should have the right to go to the concert. "Aaron you should go, Maria offered them to you first." Aphmau smiled. "Aph are you sure? You and I can stay here and-" "No, have some fun with your pack. Plus we have all summer."

"Thanks babe" he kissed her on the cheek and Maria and Aaron headed in the opposite direction. Off in the distance she could hear both of them laughing. It has been a long time since she's heard Aaron laugh so naturally. She could also hear the music booming in the background. Fireworks started shooting up in the air. Mostly stars and dogs but the last firework that came was a heart. Except instead of it bring a normal red heart  it was red and yellow.

She was happy that Aaron was having fun, and hanging out with his pack. Yet she kept having this feeling something else was afoot. No, Aphmau your being silly she told herself. Maria is just a friend. And she's a good one, she gave you werewolf advice. Then she thought back to Aaron telling her he's not a dog. And she could sense he was upset about it. She wasn't trying to be mean ,but it just came off like that. One by one more terrible thoughts each worst then the last came into her head. What if Aaron didn't like her anymore? What if he was planning to break up with her? What if that's why he brought her to Starlight? Maybe he brought her here to soften the blow.

She kept looking back at the fireworks. It took a good couple minutes for last of them to fade. "Have fun alpha." She quietly said. Tears pooling in her eyes. After that she slowly shuffled back to the boat.

"Erik? Erik are you here?" Sylvanna shouted. "I'm here sugar bear!" He shouted. He came out of the kitchen holding a tray of strawberry puffs. "Ooo those look delicious, my mija will love those." Sylvanna said eyeing the puffs. "Speaking of Aphmau when are we going to tell her we're engaged?" He asked putting the tray down. Sylvanna sat down. "I don't know, there's no easy way to say Hey I'm engaged!" Sylvanna sighed.

"My last marriage didn't end in rainbows and sparkles. And I don't know how she'll react. Yes she'll be happy for me ,but will she be happy?" Sylvanna looked over at Erik. He had a tear going down his cheek. "Erik are you crying?" Sylvanna asked. "No! Can't a grown man have pollen fly into his eyes at the exact same time." Sylvanna came over to him and hugged him. "Aw, we can wait a little longer to tell her." Erik nodded his head. "Now where are this strawberry puffs?"

Hey! Hope you liked this chapter! Also Maria is out for Aarmau. Has anyone ever told her about subtlety.  I wonder what she's gonna do? Hmmm well you have to wait for the next chapter. Oh well. Bye!
