do you see?

look at what they did to you,

where has your color gone?

my butterfly,

you're no longer as beautiful as I remember,

you traded your color

to sit and drink with them

that's not who you are,

why would you rather be like them,

than embrace your color,

my butterfly

my butterfly

look what they did to you,

your wings have lost their pattern,

how will you return to who used to be?

now that you can't fly,

I bet you're so lost in them,

that you wouldn't be able to find your way home,

but you see,

even now that you've given up everything that made us family,

I'll still always be close enough to you,

that if you whisper for me,

I'll be right next to you,

ready to save you,

my beautiful, colorful butterfly.
