she didn't believe in the sparkle in her eyes,
neither did she believe in the beauty behind her madness,
she would cry out about how the world had turned on her,
she would avoid people,
tell them she was shy,
tell them that crowds gave her anxiety,
in reality she feared the world would see her cracks,
that the world would reject her,
confirm that she was indeed nothing,
her fear of not being enough overwhelmed her,
held her back,
she refused to accept the love they say she deserved.
