Black Time

"Oh my"Esme gasped as she saw the clearing I had found her. Torn trees, ripped up earth and tattered material all over the place.

" I know. I'll start over here" I pointed to the left of the clearing. "and you start over to the right, after you have your hand we can hunt because my throat my burning." I said and started to search quickly. Esme started to. After half an hour my finger hit something harder than rock.

"Found it" I cried and pulled it up. Luckily her arm was still in one piece. Esme rushed over.

"oh good" I fixed her arm in place. Esme hissed in pain as her rem started to rejoin back together. She flexed it out a couple if times. "Thanks Bella" she hugged me. "ok first to catch a mountain lion wins" she shouted racing off.

"Cheater" I shouted and ran after her, using my newborn strength to make my legs go faster. I quickly over took her. I pounced onto a lion and broke it's neck before it knew what happened, just as Esme got near. In hear her whine and then run off to catch some other animal. I laughed and drained the lion before catching a couple of deer. I waited till Esme was done. When she walked back to me all the scars along the joints had faded so much that a human wouldn't notice unless try were really looking carefully, but a vampre could easily see it.

"Well what should we do now. No home, no money and no job." I said casually as we walked back to the cottage.

"I don't know. How was Carlisle when you left?" She asked uncertainly.

"Emotionless and a bit bitter" I said. I knew it wasn't completely his fault but he knew what he was doing.

"Poor him" Esme whispered sadly. I knew she longed to go back but what his coven did to me held her back. I nodded stiffly. We were almost at the cottage when I smelt a sweet heavenly smell drift across. I felt Esme hand clamp over my shoulder. Stopping me from running to it. But I knew it was human blood, I had been past it a couple of time but I had never really payed attention to it. I stopped breathing. I knew if I did I would want it. But my dislike for when I was human had stopped me going out if control.

"you ok" Esme asked gently, looking at my eyes, seeing if they changed colour, but they only darkened a little bit. I nodded and we both approached the cottage, thankfully it was empty, they hadn't been in here. I collected my bag which was feather light, well it had always been feather light to me. Esme stuffed the White sheet into the bag. I had no idea why but I guess she thought we should have it anyway. "Ok let's go"

"Where. I don't want to cross a Cullen" I said looking around though the thick forests.

"errr well I thought re amazons first. I have some friends there. Katchiri, Senna and Zafrina. You know Zafrina has a gift." i looked at couriusly as we began to run south. "She can create a strong illusory, she can make you see what she wants you to see or nothing at all. I guess her gift won't work on you. That would be intresting sight to see." She explained. We continued to chat as we continued to run. we only got off track to hunt but then carried on on the same track. Finally we reched the Amazon rainforest. About half way though Esme stopped suddenly and looked around confused. I ran back to her and peered at her carfully. Esme's eyes were unfocused.

"Esme are you alright" I said takng hold of her shoulder. She nodded, smiling.

"Yes, in fact Zafrina's found us, and she's looking strait at us, aren't you Zafrina?" I hear foot steps behind us. Esme's eyes came back into focused and she turned to the long figure in font of us. behind her two more figures appeared behind her. They were all very tall and had unnaturally long limbs and were dressed in animal skins.

"Ahh Esme cullen. Its been too long" The woman smiled.

"Zafrina, Its nice to see you too." Esme smiled softly. Their eyes flicked to me and back to Esme but Zafrina continued to look at me.

"Esme what happened to you. Did some one rip you to pieces" Said the tall black haired vampire on Zafrinas left, who was peering at her very closely. This caught Zafrina's attention.

"Yes what happen" I noticed that their eyes flickered to me. They though I did that. i tryed not to let that get to me. Esme saw this too and steped in beofre htye could presuem too much.

"Bella didn't do this. Some one else in my old coven did it. i have left them. mostly they because of what they did to Bella here" Esme said guesturing to me.

"Of cource. why do't you follow us, we'll take you to out camp, and we can talk there" Zafrina said kindly and we all ran after her.
