Chapter 4

  I was walking down the hallway headed back to class when I saw Valerie running the opposite way with her cousin following her,"Is everything okay?", I asked Katherine as she passed me.

"Umm, yeah.", she said but then she started to run after her cousin again.

I shrugged my shoulders and made my way back to class, but first I think I'll head to the bathroom.

When I entered the girls room I walked over to the nearest mirror. What I saw made me smile, my ginger hair was tied back into a braided bun, my shirt was a black v-neck that had lace along the neckline and I wore skinny jeans with black high heeled boots. I opened up my purse to touch up my make-up, I touched up my black eyeliner but only put a little on same goes for mascara, I lightly put on some pink eye shadow and then I touched up my cherry flavored lip gloss.   I was a perfectionist so that means I need to look perfect.

I left the bathroom and headed back to my advanced math class to catch up on the lessen, but when I entered the room no one was there. "Hello?", I asked to no one in particular.

"There is no one here.", said a voice.

I turned around but saw no one there,"Where are you?", I asked the voice.

Whoever they were they started to laugh,"I'm in your head.", The voice said.

I fell to the ground,"What?", I asked quietly.

"You and I are connected and we can never be separated.", It said to me in an evil tone.

All of a sudden these ashes that were on the floor started to take the form of a monster. My eyes grew wide with fear when the thing finished transforming. All of a sudden I felt heat take over my body, my red earrings started to glow and a bright yellow circle was burned into my palm but to top it all off there was a small tattoo of the sun on my wrist.

I hovered above the ground and that's when I noticed a pair of yellowish transparent wings that fluttered behind me,"So your one of them?" the monster asked me but the voice sounded very familiar.

"What am I?", I asked as I marveled the look of my wings.

"To bad your friend didn't kill me fully... you see she holds back on her powers and so will you." she said as she began to charge at me.

I lifted my hands up to protect me but rays of light shot out of them and hit the thing running after me. The thing fell to the floor and made a gagging noise,"I will warn you like I warned your friend, keep an eye on the winter fairy or she will kill you all." it said before it died. Ashes were spread all over the floor and since she returned from the ashes I used my powers to make the ashes disintegrate hoping  that it will never return.

The tattoo, wings and circle of light disappeared just as fast as they had appeared.

I turned with a sigh, my hair!!, I thought to myself as I ran out the door to find Valerie and Katherine so they could explain things because I knew they had something to do with this, but I couldn't get the thing that monster had said out of my head,"Keep an eye on the winter fairy or she will kill all of you." I shuddered but kept running through the halls.

"Where are you going?" said the voice inside my head.

"To get answers." I replied as I kept searching.
