John raced back to the dorm in a matter of time. "ALEX."

Alex was standing on the chair when john ran in. Alex was sobbing blankly stareing

"ALEX NO." He screamed in tears he grabbed Alex's hands and held them tightly. "Please don't leave me."

"John! What are you doing!"alex cried as he slumped down on to the floor the tears soaking his shirt

"Please, please don't leave me like that."

"Please, don't leave me."

Alex curled up into a ball "i betrayed you" Angelica, eliza, and peggy burst into the room

"What the actual fuck Alex?" Peggy yelled.

"Not really something you should say to someone right after they tried committing suicide, Peggy." Angelica added.

"Thank god you're alive!" Eliza smiled.

Alex dugg his head into his knees and cried  " im sorry..."

"It's okay, it's okay." John comforted him.

"I failed you" alex yelled

"No. You didn't fail anyone, okay? We love you so much alright?" He wiped away Alex's tears and kissed his cheek.

" im going to go to bed i have something to do in the morning" elizas face froze as she rembered the duel

John nodded, "you okay, darling?"

Eliza's eyes widened. "Alex you can't do it."

"Can't do what?" John looked confused.

"Excuse me." She pulled Alex's arm and led them into a private room to talk, well to argue.

"I have to i challenged him"

"No alex! You don't HAVE to do anything!"

"I am man of honor  just please dont tell john"

"John cares about you so much! He literally just stopped you from killing yourself because you wants you alive that bad."

"I have to Eliza! "

"If you tell him i will never forgive you!"

"Or you could let it go."

"I CANT"

"Let it go!"

"Eliza..."

"Live to fight another day, people will always be critical, they'll make the personal political!"

Alex walked out of the room "im going to bed"

"They'll try to knock you off your pedestal, your pinnacle, let other people be cynical! Let it go!" Eliza ignored him and continued to fight.

"HISTORY HAS ITS EYES ON ME! I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT !"

"You know if John were here he'd tell you the same thing!"

no well Johns not here

"Let it go, stay alive for me!"

"Eliza im not throwing away my shot!"

"Let it slide right by!"

"I cant, eliza.."

"You don't have to bring a gun to a knife fight! It's not a case of your money or your life right?" She became frustrated.

" go away eliza"

"Let it go!"

"Eliza..."

"Look around, look around, at how lucky you are to be alive right now!"

"Im not changing my mind now ive got a duel to go to if you dont mind"

"If somebody tries to lay you low, let it go."

Alex grabs his gun and walks out the door
