Chapter 17: Unconscious

The explosion happened. It gives full force that Tails' plane threw a little bit. The force pushed Sonic and Amy and they fell much faster. Sonic spindashed to protect Amy. Then, they landed on the beach and creates an enormous dust.( looks like an explosion.)

Tails' plane landed on there and they froze a bit.

Tails: No... It can't be....
Cream: Did Sonic and Amy died??( sniffs.)
Sticks: Oh. My. God.
Cream:( cries.) NOO!! WHY?!
Knuckles: Well. Condolence....( sniffs.)
Tails: NO! IT CAN'T BE!! I SHOULD SAVE THEM BUT IT WAS TOO LATE!( cries.)

Sticks sneaked and looked at the crater. She noticed Amy was hugging Sonic unconscious. Then Amy opened one eye.

Sticks: GUYS! AMY IS STILL ALIVE!

Sonic's friends ran through the crater and saw Amy and Sonic.

Sticks: Cream, help me here.
Cream:( helps Sticks bring Amy.)
Tails: SONIC!
Knuckles: Is he dead?
Tails: We don't know but we still need to bring him to the hospital.
Cream: He saved Amy!
Sticks: Now I felt really proud of him.( crosses her arms.)
Knuckles: Uhm, you look mad?
Sticks: What? No.
Tails: Come on! Let's bring him in the hospital!

After 5 hours,
Amy finally woke up in her sofa with Cream and Sticks. She noticed that she has bandages on her legs and arms.

Amy: Cream? Sticks?
Sticks: AMY! You're awake!( hugs her tightly.)
Cream: Amy! Thank goodness you're fine.
Amy: I'm totally fine, Cream. And Sticks... cannot breathe!
Sticks: Oh, I'm sorry!( breaks the hug.)
Amy: Wait. Where's Sonic?
Cream: He's in the hospital.
Amy: WHAT?! We have to go there!( runs.)
Sticks and Cream: Amy, wait!!

Amy ran to the village with Sticks and Cream. She arrived at the hospital. She asked someone in information center.

Amy: Excuse me? Is there a patient named Sonic the Hedgehog?
Information Guy: Wait. Let me check the papers.
Sticks: Amy, what are you doing? You're not allowed to enter there without the pemission of the government!
Amy: I want to see Sonic! Even though I don't care what you're talking about.
Cream: Why?
Amy: Umm... because he saved me from falling. That's all.
Sticks: Just a sec. You are liking Sonic from now?
Amy: Uhh... he said he loved me.
Cream: Oh my Chaos!
Sticks: Well done, Sonic. Well done.( claps sarcastically.)
Information Guy: Excuse me! The patient is from Room 45.
Amy: OK. Thanks for the information.

Amy ran through the third floor. After 10 seconds, they finally arrived. They saw Sonic lying on the gurney with Tails and Knuckles.

Tails: Amy! You should rest first!

Amy ran through Sonic and ignored Tails. She looked at him and hold his hand.

Amy: Sonic... I... I never thought that this happened to you. Please do not leave us. Especially me. I love you too. In a very long time. I always wanted to tell you this before Faith came. So please tell me you're OK.
Sticks: Let her be, Tails.
Tails: But Amy was still...
Amy: No... I'm fine.

In the night...
Sonic opened one eye. He saw himself covered in bandage from top to bottom. In fact, his bones was fractured. It means he cannot run in a long time. He turned his head sideways and saw Amy sitting on the chair, crying.

Sonic: A-Amy?
Amy:( looks at Sonic.) SONIC?
Sonic: A-Are you all right?
Amy:( runs at him and hugs him, crying.) Sonic, I thought you were going to die!
Sonic: What? No, I won't. I won't because you were here.
Amy: What do you mean?
Sonic: What do I do without you? You're the only one why do I live like this. You make me strong and brave at difficult situations. Without you, I would became weaker.
Amy: R-Really?
Sonic: Yeah... And I'm also sorry for being so foolish before.
Amy: It's OK. I forgive you.
( Then Amy hugs him again.)

The next day,
Nurse: Today, I have some terrible news at you, Patient Sonic.
Tails: What is it, Ma'am?
Nurse: Your patient has fractured boned according to these illustration that scanned from the patient. It means that your bones cannot be used anymore. But don't worry. We'll operate this day. We'll fix those bones as soon as possible.
Sonic: Wait. What?! But I never been operated before!
Amy: But you have to! What do you want to happen? Cannot move your body forever?
Sonic: I've never been so scared in my whole life.
Tails: Don't worry! We'll pray on you!
Knuckles: It's OK, Sonic! It was just a simple surgery!
Sonic: Why? Have you ever operated at once?
Knuckles: .....
Nurse: Please leave the room and let us do our job.

His friends left the room, praying for Sonic.

Amy's POV
Oh, dear. I'm nervous. Maybe that operation will take a long time. And maybe he will stay in one year! But please God do not let Sonic down. Even though if Eggman attacked one day, we'll do anything to protect the village.

Normal POV
After 2 days of operation,
Sonic woke up noticing his arms and legs covered with lots of bandages.

Sonic: I cannot move either my legs or arms.

Then Amy entrred the room with her tray with food.

Amy: Sonic! You're finally awake! Guys! He's awake!

His friends entered and saw Sonic with bandages.

Sticks: Woohoo! Way to go, Sonic!
Knuckles: I would expect that he would scream that day because that literally hurts.
Sonic: Have you ever heard of anesthesia?
Knuckles: No.
Sonic: Nevermind.
Tails: Anyways, I'm really proud of you! And actually that's a very long operation.
Sonic: I think so too.
Amy: The doctor said, " Your bones will regain after 8 weeks. So it's kinda like 2 months. But don't worry! We're here for you!
Sonic: Wait! That means I cannot run or move my arms?
Tails: Eh... Yeah?
Sonic: Aw man. I love running.
Amy: I though you love me right?
Sonic: Oh... Of course I love you. More than ever. Sticks: Can I leave right now?
Knuckles: Same here.
Tails: Sure. You can.
Amy: Oh yeah! Cream left the island yesterday. I'm going to miss her so much.
Sonic: Really? So that's why I cannot see her today.
Tails: Well.. Hehe.
