The restaurant looked amazing, balloons and streamers everywhere, and music blasting. Eliza was going to freak. Even though the entire restaurant was empty, we still sat in our regular booth, the one we sat in every time we went to Kirari. Obviously we didn’t all fit so we split up between two booths. I ended up sitting with Ethan, Sam, Amanda, and Henry. Amanda and Ethan both liked each other, and watching them make goo-goo eyes at each other almost made me throw up. But it didn’t matter, I was really happy to be surrounded by so many friends.

Finally the time came when Eliza was supposed to come. We all stood at the front of the restaurant. We saw the limo roll up and everything went quiet. Eliza was escorted out of the limo wearing a blindfold. As she stepped into the restaurant everyone was silent. Trevor stepped behind her to untie the blindfold. One, two, three! He tore the blindfold off her face and we all screamed,

“Surprise!” while the DJ blasted his music.

Eliza’s face light up like a Christmas tree, it was amazing to see my best friend so happy.

As the party went under way, Zach and Jared brought out cans of beer they had hidden under the booths. The people in the restaurant knew we weren’t old enough to drink but Zach had tipped them not to say anything.

I had been offered too many times to drink, but each time I said no. All of my friends drank and they always bashed on me about being too much of a “goody-two shoes” but I didn’t mind it.

I turned my phone back on so we could take a group picture. Once my phone was on I saw that I had two messages from Luke, but those could wait, I wanted to enjoy my night with my friends.
