Chapter 6 (Jenna’s P.O.V)

I didn’t wake up until 12 the next afternoon. It took me a few minutes to remember what had happened the previous night, and to take in my surroundings.

Once I did, I saw a plate off eggs and toast with some orange juice, and a note from my parents saying:

Hope you had fun last night! You were fast asleep so we left you breakfast, we went out for the day, should be home for dinner. Call us when you wake up!

Xoxo,

Mom and Dad

P.S. we left money by the door in case you want to go out!

I sent my parents a text to say hello and that I would call in a little bit. They replied saying that I should go out. I decided that I would invite Dave and Gretchin out later, but first I wanted to eat something and clean up.

Digging into my plate, I thought about everything that had happened the previous night.

Dave had left at 4 am, surprisingly sober. He only lived four blocks away, but I still insisted on walking him home, just because you never know who’s roaming the streets so early in the morning. Once we got into his apartment he washed up and we sat on his bed watching the Rangers game.

Dave knew I was obsessed with hockey and that the Rangers were my favorite team. So he knew not to argue with me when I put it on TV.

When the game ended it was about 5 in the morning. Dave was passed out, so I left, locking his door with the spare key he had given me a few years back.

I made it back to my apartment and crashed as soon as I touched my bed.
