Chapter 7.

Chapter 7 (Jenna’s P.O.V)

 

            One I finished my breakfast I went to the kitchen to put my dishes in the sink and made my way to the bathroom. I turned my shower on and hummed “Heartbreak Girl” while I got undressed. When I was in the shower my hums turned into a full-blown performance.

Since I was an only child and my parents were constantly out I never had to worry about people hearing my singing, no matter how awful it was.

            After a long shower I was definitely awake. I made my way back into my room and sat down to do my makeup.

I never wore much; it just consisted of concealer, mascara, and lip-gloss. I dressed in black leggings, a simple grey knit sweater, and black vans.

While I waited for my curly hair to dry I called Dave and Gretchin. We decided to meet outside Dave’s apartment and go shopping for a few hours.

Since we all had eaten a late breakfast we would go out for dinner and then go our separate ways since we has school the next day.

We were meeting at 3 pm and it was only 2:12 pm according to my phone. So I sat on my bed and went on Tumblr for a while.

            At 3 pm I grabbed my bag, my coat, and the money my parents gave me and started walking to Dave’s.

I called my parents and told them my plans. They said it was fine as long as I had my phone and told them where I was. Once the call ended, I saw that I had a new DM from Luke!

I had missed not talking to him all day so I was super excited. I kept my inner fangirl calm as I opened the message.

It read; “Jenna! I have a surprise for you! I don’t want to tell you on here though. Call me! xx” With his phone number.

I can’t believe it; Luke Hemmings gave me his phone number! Luke freaking Hemmings gave me his phone number! Oh man Troye and Dave are going to freak out.

            Holy shit Troye! I had totally forgotten to FaceTime him yesterday! Hopefully he wouldn’t be totally pissed. Even though I was already at Dave’s apartment, I called Troye. I knew it would be a good 20 minutes until Dave and Gretchin came. He answered on the third ring.

“ Jenna!” he yelled, not sounding the slightest bit mad.

“Troye! I’m so sorry I didn’t call you yesterday! I was at my friend’s birthday party and I didn’t get home until super late.” I said all in one breathe, panting when I finished.

“Don’t worry Jenna, it’s totally fine! We can FaceTime tonight!”

I sighed with relief; Troye was such an easygoing, nice guy. I’m so glad he’s my friend.

“ Okay, okay,” I replied. “ I’m going out with friends now but I’ll FaceTime as soon as I get back.”

“ Sounds good, have fun! Oh and tell Dave I say hi!” And with that he hung up.

Troye and Dave had met through me, and they both had developed huge crushes on each other, but both too nervous to tell the other that they liked them.

            I still had a good 10 minutes until Dave and Gretchin showed up, they always took the longest to get ready to get ready out of all our friends.

I put Luke’s phone number into my contacts and sent him a text.

“Hey Luke it’s Jenna, I can’t call right now because I’m about to go out with some friends, but I promise I’ll call later!”

He immediately replied, saying; “Okay! Have fun with your friends, call me later! xx”

My smile spread from ear to ear as I put my phone away just in time too, because Gretchin was walking down the street towards me, and I saw Dave making his way out of his lobby.
