Chapter 13 (Jenna’s P.O.V)

            When I woke up on Sunday I had almost 60 text messages from Troye. They all said things like;

“I woke up at 5 am for you.” And

“All my fans are at the airport.” Plus

“Too many paparazzi here, I need to get out”

I didn’t bother replying because I knew he was already in the air, and I assumed that his airplane didn’t have Wi-Fi. How would he survive?

It was only 10am, and I still had some time until I had to get Dave and Troye, so I went and jumped into the shower. I went over all the plans in my head. My mom and dad were letting me use the car and Troye’s flight was getting in at 2pm. So I was going to leave around 12:30pm in order to get there in time. The traffic in NYC was awful and it was a long drive to JFK airport where Troye’s plane was landing.

After waiting for what seemed like years, it was finally time to go get Dave and Troye. I was so excited that I practically leaped out the door of my apartment. I called Dave and told him to wait outside.

Once I got Dave we set out to JFK airport. The traffic wasn’t too bad, but it would take at least 45 minutes to get there.

During the car ride Dave and I blasted 5 Seconds of Summer and talked about how excited we were for the concert.

As soon as Troye stepped into the gate from his plane I ran to him and jumped in his arms

“Troye I missed you so much! I can’t believe you’re actually here!” I said squeezing him tightly.

I felt Dave come behind me and stepped away from Troye so they could hug each other hello.

Once we finished hugging and catching up Troye told us he was starving, so we headed to a nearby Taco Bell that was in the airport.

Sitting down, Troye began telling us all about his flight. Lucky for him, there were no crying babies or little kids kicking his seat the entire time. Troye only complained about the lack of Wi-Fi.

“I mean all I do is eat, sleep, and go on twitter, if I’m not able to do that then what’s the point of living? I’m surprised I didn’t kill myself!” Oh Troye.

Luckily Dave’s full attention was devoted to Troye so I didn’t have to listen and be alone with my thoughts about Ashton. I was happily daydreaming about him when I was rudely interrupted.

“Jen! Earth to Jenna!” Dave snapped his fingers in front of my face.

“Wha- What!” I said, snapping out of my fantasy.

“We’re ready to go. Are you?” Troye asked, already pulling his coat on and grabbing his bags.

            “Yeah, let’s go.” I replied.

I grabbed my coat, car keys, and what remained of my baja blast as we walked out of the airport and made our way to the parking lot.

In the car, Troye kept droning on and on about how excited he was for the concert. We didn’t have a definite plan yet; we just knew that we were going and that it was going to be amazing. Troye only stopped talking when the jetlag finally got to him and he passed out in the backseat.
