It's late. Mom and Meowth are sleeping soundly in bed. I should be sleeping as well, but I find that I can't. My mind is too busy forming a plan to sneak out.
You'd think that if your mom let you go on an island challenge mostly alone, then she'd trust you to be alone outside at night. But I've tried before, and she made me go with Hau. Hau always seems to turn up at the best or worst times possible.
Tonight, I'm not sure where I want to go. I just know that I need to get out.
My plan is simple; sneak out off the side deck. After I get far enough away from the house, I will find somewhere to lay down, probably at the beach. I have become even more fond of the ocean since I've lived here in Alola.
I get out of the house without a problem. I'm still not sure where I'm heading though, so I go to Hao'uli city, looking for something to do.
After about ten minutes, I arrive at the marina. I'm used to being at the marina, and I sit on the edge, with my legs dangling off the dock. I can smell the ocean's breeze - everything is just great.
As always, I think about Lillie. Kukui's 'assistant' as she was for a while, means a lot to me. I remember how she was before - shy, scared, polite and cute. And when she went into her 'Z-powered form' she became so brave, facing her fears. Even though she built her courage up, I guess her cute personality never really changed much. But something always bothers me; Lillie has tried to tell me something many times, but has always ended up being interrupted. I wonder what she's been trying to tell me - it must be important, but the night we celebrated my victory over the Pokémon League, she giggled at it and dismissed it as nothing. Could it have been about her departure to Kanto or... something else? Someday, when she comes back from Kanto, I'll ask. And I will tell her about something that I haven't been brave enough to do yet, but I've been meaning to a lot.
The sound of a ferry's horn startles me - I was too wrapped up in my own thoughts to realise how late it has been getting.
I race home, still thinking of Lillie. I lay in bed.
"Goodnight, Lillie. I love you," I whisper.Again, a huge thanks to @FearTheDonut for letting me continue his work. Of course, this chapter and the next five are all his work. I hope you all enjoyed, and I hope you'll be back for the next chapter.
