The next morning, I appear to be the second one to wake up. When my eyes flicker open, I notice that Lillie has already gotten out of bed. I sigh and stretch, and I can feel a - mark on my forehead? I climb out of bed, and the sunlight filters through the window from outside and onto my chest. I glance in a mirror, and see a faint outline of a kiss-mark on my forehead. I chuckle, realising that Lillie probably did that when she woke up. I get dressed, grab my backpack and hat, and head to the deck of the ship in the hopes of finding Lillie there.
As I approach the front of the ferry, I see Lillie. My heart seems to skip a beat, which feels weird. She's leaning against the rails there, looking out at the yellow-orange sea, glistening in the dawn. She is wearing an amazing white dress, letting her hair down over her shoulders. I step forwards, and lean against the rails next to her.
"Morning, Lil. You look incredible this morning," I compliment.
"Thanks, you do too! How did you sleep?"
"Really well thanks, you?"
"I fell asleep almost immediately! And I had some really nice dreams," she answers.
I place my hands on her shoulders, and we lose ourselves in a long, romantic kiss. I really can't think of anything that could make this moment better.
After we finally pull our lips off eachothers minutes later, she rests her head against my shoulder, and we look out at the horizon together. She points forwards. And then we see it, not too far in the distance - the Kanto region. It's cities stand out, the sunlight filtering through the tall towers and buildings.
"That's it. That's Kanto," I whisper.

About 30 minutes later, our ferry docks at Vermillion city.
"W-wow, I'm back already," she whispers. "But, I'm with you." She continues, hugging me. "Thank you so much,"
"No problem, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else,"
She takes my hand, and we step off the boat after giving our thanks to the Captain. And then, we take our first steps on the Kantonian soil.
Home.
For just a moment, I forget about everything, and I'm just lost in looking around me, embracing the busyness and excitement of the city. Hundreds of people, on mobile phones, carrying briefcases, just rushing around to get along with their lives. Kanto has certainly changed since last time I was here. Since my sister was...
"Sun?" Lillie says. She notices a tear well up in my eye, and I wipe it away with my index finger.
"I-it's nothing, really. Let's go, I want to see how your mother is doing." I say, changing the subject. She smiles as I hold her hand, and we walk through the cities of the Kanto region, taking in the sights.

"Okay, so we want to be heading north towards Cerulean city. Bill still lives around there, right?" I say, as we stroll along a route, alongside some fields. She looks at me, a little confused.
"How do you know that?"
"I used to live here, remember silly?" I laugh, pulling her into a hug as we walk along the path.
"Oh yeah, almost forgot about that," she laughs.
We continue to stroll through the incredible Kanto region, until we reach Bill's cottage in the far north of the region.

"Here we are, this is where I've been staying for a while," says Lillie, as we enter the house. However, what we see is not good. Lusamine isn't here. Bill sits at his desk, fiddling with a small electronic gadget. He looks distressed. His home is a mess. Well, messier than usual, that is... what's happened here?
"Lillie!" Bill exclaims. He jumps to his feet, and immediately begins to tear up. "Oh, it's just terrib- wait... is it possible? Sun!?" He exclaims in shock. Bill was an inspiration to me while I lived here, and we were rather good friends. Bill is always curious, always in a rush to be somewhere, and he has a twitchiness about him which is iconic.
"Wha- how did? I thought I'd never see you again, my friend!" He manages a smile, and shakes my hand.
"Likewise, Bill. Now, this may be a bit of a surprise to you, but Lillie is... my girlfriend," I laugh.
"It's true! And Sun is my boyfriend!" Lillie chirps, hugging me from behind. Bill looks like he's going to pass out.
"Whaaa... I, well..." He begins to laugh, and I laugh with him. This is the Bill that I remember. "Well, congratulations, you two! But Lillie why didn't you tell me that you... ah, we'll have to catch up later. Listen, it's a disaster! It's an absolute disaster, I'm so sorry, both of you!" He goes on, panicking.
"Whoa, slow down, Bill. Where's mother?" Lillie asks, her voice grave, as if she knows what he's about to say.
"Th-that's just the thing. It was Team Rocket! They... they broke in... they've kidnapped her!"
