The next day, the first thing I do is go and visit Hau in Iki Town. I had to... tell him a lie. It hurts me to lie to one of my closest friends, but I have to.
"Hey Hau," I mumble, trying to sound as depressed as possible.
"Hi, Sun. Is... everything okay?" He asks, concerned.
"Well, it turns out that the ship from Kanto just contains tourists. Not Lillie," I sigh. Hau sighs too, and pats me on the back.
"I'm sorry, Sun. Do... you want to go and get malasada or something?"
"No, I'm okay. Thanks, though. Apparently, there's a challenger waiting for me at the league," I say.
"Okay then, I'll leave you to it. Good luck, Sun."
I nod, and with that, summon Charizard and glide down to the marina. As we soar through the air, I can't help but smile, thanking Arceus that Hau took the bait.
A short while later, I land at the marina. As I come in to land, I can already see the ship from Kanto, almost arriving at it's destination. There she is! I can't wait to see her again...
As Lillie's ferry sails closer, Gladion's words echo in my mind; 'For some reason, she wants her visit to stay a secret...' The only person I've told is mom, who understands and promises to keep it a secret.
As the ferry prepares to dock, I stand up eagerly from where I'm sat, a huge grin covering my face. I stand and wait for her to step off her boat.
Moments later, a tall, slim and beautiful 14-year old girl dressed in a stunning white dress steps off of the boat, her incredible golden hair flowing down over her shoulders. She's looking around eagerly for me. There she is... there's Lillie.
I take a few steps forward, tilting my cap with a smile.
"I've missed you," I say with a smile.
"Sun! I- I- ah, I've missed you so much!" She exclaims, running towards me and embracing me in a tight hug. I blush a little; I've only ever been this close to Lillie once before, and that was when she hugged me just before she left for Kanto. As she breaks away from the hug and looks up at me, two men in fancy black suits step off the boat. There is a badge flashing the letter 'R' on each of their suits. They whisper something to eachother, whilst glaring at us. Lillie notices them, and takes my hand quickly, dragging me towards Hao'uli city.
"Um, Sun? Can... can we go somewhere please?" She asks sheepishly.
"Yeah, sure! Where should we start, hm? How about... shopping?" I ask with a smile. She smiles too, and nods.
"Sounds good!" She giggles.
A little later, as Lillie searches for some new clothes for herself, I can't help but wonder what I'm supposed to be protecting Lillie from. Gladion never said.(Timeskip)
As Lillie and I wander around Poni island enjoying the sights, I feel like I should ask her a question;
"Hey, Lillie. Did you know those suspicious men on that boat?"
She looks up at me quickly, shocked that I remember.
"No, I... it's a bit weird, but for some reason I feel like they're spies or something," She shudders. I nod.
After we decide to go and get food from Seafolk Village, Lillie and I discuss where we should stay for the night. I offer for us to stay at a hotel for a night, which she likes the idea of.
We arrive at the hotel that we chose, and we book a room. As Lillie talks to the receptionist, I notice some strange men standing around. They wear black suits and a red 'R' is printed on each ones uniform. I cover my mouth and gasp, quickly turning away from them. I know who they are. I know all too well. Suddenly, Lillie pulls me back to reality.
"Sun, I got us a room. Ready to go?" She asks. She goes to take my hand, but then seems to decide against it, blushing a little.
"Erm, y-yeah, let's go," I stutter. She smiles, and we head to our room, me still shaken by the people that I'd seen.
