In that white light, I saw nothing. Not until THEY showed up. 2 men, both pretty short, walked up to me. The first man said, "Hannah, it's Manny." So, I was in a bit of shock from this, then I turned to the second man... "And I'm your father, Eros." he said. "Daddy? Wait, weren't you just down there, and-- how are you talking?!?!? I'm so confused!!!" I exclaimed, almost at the state of hyperventilating. "Well, I'll let Manny explain that to you." he said. "Hannah, your father ha lived 2 lives, one as a regular man and the second as the Guardian of Dreams. Now, you have also lived 2 lives, one as a ROYALLY treated princess in the 18th Century and the second as a human becoming a Guardian of..." Manny said before my dad cut him off, "NO, YOU HAVE TO LET HER FIND OUT FOR HERSELF!!"
Now, that was harsh but I just stayed silent, then Manny continued, "Anyway, I need to show you your past so you can move on in the present and future. No one will see you or hear you. All you need to worry about is finding your center. Now the question, are you ready?" Still in a daze after getting shot, seeing Manny and my father talking, I nodded my head and they led me to a weird looking chair with one of those high-tech scanner things. They placed the scanner on my head, then I felt a bit woozy. As the white room turned black, I felt like I was falling and falling into a black hole; then I hit the ground.
The year was 1713, or the Early 18th Century. I was leaning against a tree by a frozen pond that look familiar. I saw 2 people, a small girl with brown hair and eyes who appeared to be that8 and a teenage boy with brown hair and eyes who appeared to be 17, were skating on the ice. They looked familiar. The tree was on a hill, so I decided to explore the top of it. At the top was a Palace, and a princess sitting in the window... THAT'S ME!!! I was beautiful wearing that white Renaissance dress. I heard myself ask someone to take a stroll. I couldn't quite make out what the other person said, but I said, 'no, I do not need a chaperone.'
The gate opened, a I stepped out, and I guess I was hiding a pair of skates. I, meaning the real me, hurried back down the hill to see if those people were still there, but they were not. Past me put on the skates and stepped on to the ice. I was pretty good at skating now, so now I know where I got it from originally. Just then, that boy from before stepped outside. He and, I will just call her Hannah, Hannah locked eyes, and I was just trying to figure out who that boy is. Just then I heard a crack and the ice beneath Hannah's feet was cracking and the boy ran on to the ice and grabbed me! I mean Hannah. He was so brave!
"Madam, are you alright?" he asked. "Yes. Thank you, um, what is your name?" she said. "Jackson Overland. But most people just call me Jack! And you are?" he asked. "Princess Hannah Amora Valentine."
WAIT!!! Jack? Jack Frost? Oh my God, now I know why he looked familiar. Anyway, they actually talked for a while the Hannah asked, "Tomorrow night, Thursday, I'm having a Masquerade Ball in honor of my Birthday. Even though my birthday isn't until Saturday, I was wondering if you would like to go?" He said yes, and after that, they both went home and Hannah started preparing for tomorrow.
Thursday came and Hannah looked out the window to see Jack on the newly hardened ice with is sister, Emma. A maid walked in and offered to help Hannah with her dress for tonight. It was a purple laced Victorian styled dress with a silver mask with the shape of a crescent moon on the side.
That night, she waited by the door to greet her guests, but to also look for Jack. Jack arrived, but he was afraid that he would get caught. He was wearing dark brown laced leggings, a white ruffle shirt, a brown cape, a charcoal color mask. So instead of going through the front door, he and Hannah took a walk through the gardens to get to the back door.
"Jack, I just want to thank you again for saving my life."
"Oh Princess..."
"Just call me Hannah."
"Okay, Hannah, there is no need for thanks."
"But of course there is. Without you, I nor we would be here, right now, and in this moment with each other."
The wind began to blow a gentle breeze across the garden. Hannah and Jack stared into each other's eyes, and without hesitation, they locked lips for a gentle kiss. Not one with tongue, but passion and thoughtfulness.
"Jack, are you fighting in the tournament?"
Tournament? What was I talking about?
"For your love? Yes."
"I wish there was no fighting. Because I already found the one I love."
"But I swear on my great uncle's grave that I will win the tournament and no matter what, be with you."
The passion and heart that we had for each other was priceless, until a guard saw us in the garden.
"Jack you must go!" And with a quick kiss, he fled.
And that was the last time Hannah ever saw Jack again. Because the next day, Jack feel into the ice, and didn't come to the tournament.
But, the king and queen found out about them, and I could never see him again. It was easy for them, but not me. The moment Hannah found out, a piece of her died, in her heart.
