Our story begins on a day in December, a few days away from Christmas. Jack had the brilliant plan of bring a snow day to the small town of Burgess, but he wasn't just this to visit Jamie, he was also wanted to do it for the heck of it. Meanwhile, I'm at home watching the snow gently fall from the sky, covering the ground like a soft, white blanket. Oh my, where are my manners, I'm Hannah, Princess Hannah Valentine- also known as the maid. Yes, I know, I just told you I was a princess but I was forced to be the maid after the other maid quite and my father died. Anyway, enough about me, back to the real import story. After Jack brought the snow, he stopped be Jamie's house just to say hello. Jamie was outside with his friends. Jack saw this as an opportunity to start a snowball fight. he picked up some snow, rolled it all up, aimed for the head (of course), and shot. BAM! right in the face. Jamie wiped away the snow and saw Jack. "Why do you ALWAYS aim for the head?" he asked. Jack shrugged and continued throwing snowball everywhere. Children were laughing and I could hear it all the way to my house, which was a hill two streets away.

As I look out the window, Jack looked up and noticed me. I waved and he waved back, but he was also motioning me to go outside. "Mother, may I please go outside for an hour or two?" "Have you finished mopping the floor, taking out the trash, and making the afternoon tea-time treats?" she snapped back. "Yes mother." I said politely.  "Fine! But you only have an hour before you have to make dinner." she said, with a little motion to the coat rack. I was so overjoyed. I quickly gathered my things and rushed out the door. All of the sudden, Jack throws a snowball at the back of my head and I tumbled down the hill. Ouch! He quickly came down and helped me up. "are you okay?" he asked in a quite voice. "Yes, I'm fine," I said with a smile, "I'm Hannah." "Hi.. sorry 'bout the head." he said. "Don't worry about sir, it was nothing." I said, grabbing a little snow and throwing it in the eyes of Jack. I noticed something on the ground... MY HAT which revealed my maid's cap and my jacket was unzipped----- oh my god, complete and udder embarrassment came over me, and it just got worse.

We were all just playing around until my mother had to go and ruin my fun. "MAID, time to make dinner!!!!!" she exclaimed with a slam behind the door. "Your a maid?" Jamie asked. I nodded and everyone began to laugh, except Jack. I ran up the hillside faster than you can say 'snowflake'. I slammed the door and began to weep. After dinner, I cleaned and went to the maid's corner. Tears fell from the corners of my eyes, it looked and felt like icicles melting.

I climbed into the small bed, went under the cold sheets, and watched the room grow darker and darker. And that was where my nightmare began!
