I stood below the noon high sun in the middle of an open field. My whole life laid before me as I looked towards the sky. I felt the sun's heat and tried to feel it's energy. It was so powerful my heart started to race, it was way stronger than anything I had ever experienced. I was connected to the sun and could feel what it was. It was so much more than a light in the sky, it was life itself. It sustains everything we know.
I was really going to try this, the one option that could possible mean death, what a great role model I'll be to challenge death. I must be crazy, I have to be crazy, I'm crazy. There's no way I can do this, but how will I know if I don't. I'm going to do this.
Closing my eyes I searched for the sun's polar opposite but nothing seemed to match, and that's when I knew I was thinking about it all wrong. Merlin said the sun and moon were different energies, not opposite. I was searching for the opposite of life and couldn't find anything. Death doesn't give off any form of energy, I'm supposed to be looking for an unknown energy signature.
One I found it I was having a lot of difficult trying to feel then both at once, and trying to be even one of them. “Guinevere stop!” I heard Merlin shout at me.
“I can do this just believe in me.” I insisted.
“No I'm telling you to stop. I'm not doubting you but just listen to me. The head of my powers is me and I choose my heir. Due to some of my own fault my best heir has to be the generation after you. If you take the oath it will just be sitting until you have a child. It's no use risking it, I still want you to be the heir to my throne but it's better for you not to try and take the oath as well. Please listen to me, I'd prefer you to take your father's oath and my kingdom.” Merlin walked towards me.
“But what will happen if something happens to you before I have a child! Tour bloodline and powers die off and just end!” I fought him.
“I'll take care of that, just please think about this if you argue like that. If you die then both of our bloodlines end.” Merlin explained.
I was scared, I didn't want to give up and live with never knowing but living is better than death. “I'm sorry for doing this but please I have my reasons.” Merlin waved his hand in front of my face and I collapsed to the ground.

For the rest of the day I continues on with low energy, I didn't see Merlin anywhere, I wonder if he's hiding from me for draining my energy.
“Guinevere!” My father ran and wrapped his arms around me when he finally found me. “Why would you even try to go on with the oath knowing it could lead to death? You scared us all, thank heavens Merlin found you it I fear what would have happened.”
“I'm fine, just tired.” I yawned.
“Merlin blocked your power for now so you wouldn't try to do the oath again. It took a lot out of him to and he has to go lay down.” My father explained. “He will be better by tonight for the ceremony.”
“What ceremony?”
“Merlin has worked tirelessly to create the perfect heir naming ceremony. He never had one so he's not sure how to do one. Tonight if you choose you will be named Princess Guinevere or you can say no.”
“Infront of everyone?” I was already nervous enough about making the decision.
“No, other kingdoms for that because their heirs are the first both child so it's a bug thing. Meelin is going to do it more privately only witnessed by the Lord's and ladies of the kingdom. The only ones coming are myself and one if the Camelot knights who is really on our side.”
