JILL POV:

I woke up to the blinding sunlight from the living room window, unaware of even getting home last night. I lay still for a moment, waiting for the pounding in my head to arrive like it usually does when I wake up hungover, but thankfully, it never did. Actually, I felt pretty good. After such a long day, I don't think it was the alcohol that knocked me out; I was probably just way overtired.

I made my way to our new kitchen and went through the cupboards. I frowned at the empty space where I thought I would find my breakfast. Right, I thought to myself, we didn't go shopping yesterday. Sighing, I went down the hall to Grace's room, hoping she was awake and up to find a diner around here.

"Grace?" I knock lightly before opening the door, only to find the room is empty. I stand there for a moment, wondering where she could've gone, hoping she didn't leave to get breakfast without me. I slumped back on the couch and looked longingly in the empty cabinets when the front door opened. Grace struggled to make it inside, about six grocery bags in each hand. I jumped up to help her, relieved and grateful she took it upon herself to get us food, and a lot of it.

"Why didn't you wake me up!? I would've helped you, Grace. Shit, I feel terrible." I began unbagging all the groceries and filing things into cabinets.

"Don't worry about it. You were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you. I also didn't feel like waiting, either. I'm starving."

I nodded, understanding. But still, I felt guilty. "Dinner's on me tonight, we can go grab a bite after checking out the city. I hear In-N-Out Burger is supposed to be really good."

GRACE POV:

I smiled at Jill, accepting her offer. We finished putting away the groceries and got ready for the day fairly quickly, as we were both excited for what was ahead of us. We decided today we were going to explore Los Angeles: the shops, the landmarks, the restaurants, and maybe run into some celebrities along the way. I smiled to myself as I made my way down to the lobby, shouting to Jill that I'll meet her down there.

The elevator door opened and I was happy, yet a little embarrassed to see Grayson and Ethan standing in front of me. "Hey," I said softly as I stepped into the elevator, my eyes strictly on the floor. I pressed the already lit lobby button.

"Hey, Grace! Did you guys have fun last night?" Grayson asked, his warm and sincere smile making me feel a little more comfortable.

I nodded, thanking him again for inviting Jill and me as the elevator door opened. He smiled once again as we stepped out of the elevator. "So," he began as him and Ethan followed me out into the lobby, "what are you up to today?"

I looked at him, curious. Why did Grayson want to know what I was doing? "Jill and I are going to check out L.A. We're not exactly sure where yet, but I guess we'll find out as the day goes on."

"You should let us show you around! We've grown accustomed to going out and adventuring this place, so trust me, we know the coolest spots around," Ethan said. I smiled, relieved he didn't seem upset with me for having to bring us back to our apartment last night.

Ethan was mysterious. He seemed to have a rough exterior, but I think behind the bad boy persona he's showing off, his heart is kind. I found myself wanting to know more about him, and Grayson, too. Even though they were twins, they both seemed so different.

"That would be great," I finally said. Ethan nudged Grayson as they both seemed happy about it. Jill came down just in time to hear the change of plans, which she was more than excited about. After a couple minutes of Ethan and Grayson planning out our day, we finally headed out to Hollywood Boulevard.

GRAYSON POV:

I was glad Ethan offered to be Grace and Jill's designated tour guides, but I'll admit, I felt like he was up to something and I didn't like it. I mean, he made it pretty clear about what he thought about Grace last night, but I knew she deserved better than him. I loved my brother, but he was a player, and Grace didn't seem like the girl who would want to deal with him.

As we approached Walk of Fame, I caught up with Grace, who was walking a little ahead of everyone, taking in the scene. "So," I began, "what do you think?"

Her face lit up, and for some reason, it was contagious. "Oh, I love it! This is seriously so cool. I've always seen all of this stuff in photos but, now I'm actually here, standing in front of Marilyn Monroe's Hollywood Star? It's completely insane. And like... I live literally five minutes away!"

I laughed, enjoying her happiness. I watched the way her eyes lit up as a sense of amazement swept across her face. She walked around aimlessly, enjoying the street performers. I was admiring her from afar when Ethan approached me from behind.

"So, which one do you want?"

"What?" The vulgarity of his question caught me off guard, but at the same time, I wasn't surprised.

"Yeah, I can't decide either. Jill's hot as hell, but she seems too easy. Grace seems like the type to play hard to get, and you know I love a challenge."

"E, cut it out. I already told you, this shit's gotta stop! At least give it some time, bro." I was now standing in front of him, blocking his view from Grace and Jill. "After a couple weeks if you're actually interested, go for it. Just don't screw anything up. They seem like really cool people."

Ethan rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed that I've had to once again call him out on his bullshit. But hey, someone had to tell him. I looked back at Grace, who was now having a conversation with an Edward Scissorhands impersonator. Her smile was lighting up the street, and I couldn't take my eyes off her.

"I see what's going on here," my gaze was interrupted. I looked over at Ethan, annoyed that he took my attention away from her beauty, yet again.

I sighed, "what are you talking about now?"

"You've got the hots for Grace. How hypocritical! You're standing here lecturing me about backing off just so you could get closer to her, huh? I am honestly hurt!" He held his hand to his heart as if he were just stabbed.

I opened my mouth to speak but couldn't find the words. Was that really my motive for telling Ethan to lay off? Was I afraid of him getting to her before me? Before I could say anything, Ethan continued with his all too famous smirk, "I mean of course I always love a good competition."

I looked at Ethan then back at Grace. She and Jill were making their way back over to us to go to our next stop. I turned my attention back to Ethan, beginning to shake my head.

"Alright, brother." He was convinced, now, so nothing I could say would make a difference. "Game on."
