GRAYSON POV:

I woke up to the sound of music blasting and Ethan grunting over and over. Great, I thought to myself, either he's with a girl or he's working out because he's about to go see a girl. I groaned at the thought of being up so early and headed out to the living room, hoping I wouldn't be interrupting anything too... personal. Thankfully, all I saw was a sweaty Ethan doing push ups.

"Bro, seriously? At least turn the music down," I shout as I head toward the speaker. I turn the nob down a couple dials and look down on him. He was dripping with sweat and his arms were as big as trees trunks. For a moment I was hit with a wave of envy, but that quickly blew past as I remembered I could easily look like that if I wanted to, except for the fact that I'm not a douche.

"Oh sorry man, you know me, big day ahead." He continued his push ups, sweat dripping from the tips of his hair onto the towel underneath him.

"Um, actually I don't... What do you have planned exactly?" I sat down on the couch in front of him, refusing to leave until I got an answer. If this was about Grace, I swear to God...

"Nothing, man. I just got someone expecting me." Ethan smirked his usual smirk, stood up, and walked down the hall into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. I didn't like the sound of this.

GRACE POV:

It's been three days since I've seen Ethan or Grayson. I'll admit, it kind of sucked not having Grayson around to laugh with, and it was weird not having Ethan around so I could try to figure him out.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't thinking about what Ethan said to me that night before he went home. I've dialed his number twice to try to meet up, but I figured I'd wait for him to come to me. I didn't want him to think I liked him, and I certainly didn't want to look desperate.

Jill's been sick for the past couple days, so I've been tending to her needs at home for a while. As much as I love being around her, I needed to get out of the house. I decided I'd head to the store and grab some more soup (because that's all Jill's been eating), and maybe bring my guitar to Grand Park to get some writing in. It's been so long since I wrote a song, especially with the move and all, so I thought today would be a good day to hop back on that train. "I'll be back in a couple hours!" I yelled down the hall to Jill, and all I got back was a groan.

I decided I would go to the park first and relax, then head to the store on my way back. After about a twenty minute walk, I arrived at Grand Park, surprised it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. I found a large tree and leaned my guitar against it, sitting down against the trunk of the tree. I took my guitar out of its case and immediately felt at peace. After having such a stressful week, this is exactly what I needed.

I played and wrote and played and wrote. After about an hour, I decided Jill had enough time by herself and packed up my stuff. I was about to head out of the park until I saw a familiar face in the distance, sitting under a tree, reading a book.

"Hey," I began, "come here often?"

Grayson looked up, surprised that I was standing in front of him. "Hey, what are you doing here?"

I sat down next to him, glad he seemed happy to see me. "Needed to get out of the house, Jill's had me stuck playing doctor ever since you guys left. Plus, I'm way out of practice," I said, motioning to my guitar.

Grayson nodded lightly, still smiling. "I didn't know you play," this made me blush. I shrugged my shoulders as he continued, "I get it, though. Ethan's up to something and I don't want to be around when it happened."

I looked at him confused. I wondered if Ethan said anything to him about me or about what happened the other day before he left. I decided I wouldn't bring it up first. "Do you have any idea what he's up to?"
