Your world came crashing down in one swift motion. Words you never expected to hear or read tore down your every hope and dream for the future. One text message broke your heart.
Petey <3: Hey um.. I have something to tell you and I'm too much of a coward to confront you face to face.
You: Yeah honey, what's up?
Petey <3: I'm sorry, this just isn't working out. I'm breaking up with you, its for the best. I'm sorry.
That text message carried so much pain. You didn't understand. Just an hour ago Peter seemed to be so in love with you, but now he is dumping you. With every little word you reread, you felt more of your heart breaking.
You throw your phone across the room and lock your door so you wouldn't be disturbed. You sat on the floor in a fetal position, just crying. You knew this was gonna happen. You cried your heart out and pulled at your hair.
No. This isn't how it should be. You two talked about having a future. Get married, have kids, grow old together. You got up and looked at your full body mirror in your room.
You looked yourself up and down. "I'm fat. No wonder he didn't want me. I'm not pretty enough." You mumble as tears kept falling. You just held your face in your hands and cried.
You decided enough is enough. You sped over to his house and knocked on his door. Aunt May opened it with a smile, but it soon turned to concern when she saw your tear stained face. "Oh honey, what's wrong? Is everything alright?" She said, pulling you into a hug.
"Yeah.. Is Peter home?" You asked. "Yes, he is in his room. I hope you start feeling better dear." She said giving you a gentle smile. You walk to his door. You feel your heart race but you wanted answers.
You knock on his door and you hear his voice telling whoever is out there to come in. You open the door and shut it. Peter hasn't turned around to see who it was, he was pushing something into his closet.
"Aunt May, who was at the-"
He cut himself short when he saw your tear stained face. He was shocked, but above that his heart shattered into a thousand pieces. He caused this, and he knew it.
"Peter, why?" You said, but those words only made more tears fall. He went to hold you, but you backed away. "(Y/n) I'm so sorry... You just wouldn't understand." He said, tears rimming his own eyes.
"Am I not enough? Am I too fat? Am I too ugly? I swear I can change." You said, only crying heavier, almost collapsing onto the floor. He felt his lip tremble as he heard you say that. "No, oh god no. You are amazing." He said, his voice cracking.
You stayed in silence until you finally spoke up. "Its Mary Jane.. Isn't it?" You said lowly. Peter didn't know how to describe the hurt he felt. He grabbed your arms and looked at you. "No, please don't think that!" He said, crying at this point.
