"Steve go!" An aggressive female voice yelled. "No! You are not being left alone!" Steve cried back. You then saw a group of soldiers aiming at Steve, and your eyes widened. "Steve no!!" You yelled pushing him out of the way. The guns penetrate your chest twelve times.
"(Y/n) no!!" Steve yelled, pain clear in his voice. He felt tears rim his eyes. He turned that sadness to aggression. He killed them all and knelt down beside you with Bucky trying to stop the bleeding. "No! We won't let you die!" Bucky yelled. "Please, doll! Stay! Don't fall asleep!" Steve said shaking you slightly.
The two began to tear up. You began coughing up your blood. Bucky began to cry as he kept trying, and Steve couldn't bear it as he began shattering into a thousand pieces. "Please!" Steve shouted holding you in his arms. "B-b-better win this w-war p-punk. Y-y-you gotta get P-Peggy." You said.
"M-make sure h-he doesn't do a-anything s-s-stupid." You whispered to Bucky. "I-im sorry. Love you t-two... P-punks...." You said. "(Y/n)? (Y/n)!" Steve said beginning to shake you.
"(Y/N)!" He called out. Then he realized. Your dead. He always thought he could save you. He couldn't, because either way you would die. Your body was never found but everyone knew that you took 12 shots to the chest, so how could you be alive?
He's been dreaming about you a lot lately. He got up from his bed and walked into the kitchen. He saw the piano that was in the lounge of Stark tower. He remembered how you played it. It's like everything, now, makes him think of you. He doesn't know why.
Bucky woke up and saw Steve in the kitchen drinking some water. "Your up early." Bucky said. "I had a nightmare." Steve said. "What was it about?" Bucky asked. "(Y/n)." Bucky froze at your name. He was there, with Steve, when you died choking on your own blood.
You always somehow haunted their dreams. When you died the two left to fight and promised they would come back to give you a proper memorial but when they came back your body was gone. It haunts them because they couldn't find your body.
You impacted their lives, and you believed in them when nobody did. You died in Steve's arms and it took a toll on him, and Bucky. The two didn't realize Bruce was serving pancakes. "She always put blueberries on mine." Bucky mumbled. "She always put two pats of butter." Steve said. Bruce was confused, because he had no clue who they were talking about.
"Huh?" Bruce said. "(Y/n)." The boys said in unison. Now the boys were in a gloomy mood. Steve decided a walk was very much needed. He walked around the park he normally went to. He heard a pretty sad song on a piano play and he stooped and saw a girl with a small keyboard on her lap.
"Don't cry..." The voice sang softly. Then the piano began to get more sad and it matched Steve's mood. He listened to the song more.
"Suddenly, I know I'm not sleeping! Hello? I'm still here!" The voice got more desperate, like it wanted someone to notice her. Like this person wanted to see someone again. Steve knew how this person felt. He was desperate to see (Y/n) again.
"All that left of yesterday..." He saw tears fall on the white keys and his immediate response was comfort her. He sat next to her. "That was great performance ma'am. But are you OK?" He asked. The girl snapped her head up at the voice. She knew it, very well. Steve saw the face and it was clear. "(Y/n)?" Steve said. "Steve?"
You immediately throw your arms around him and cry into his shoulder, and he sobs into your neck. "I thought you were dead." He said through sobs. "I did to. I don't know how I survived. I missed you so freaking much!" You said, gripping Steve not willing to let go anytime soon. He didn't plan to let go either.
Without thinking Steve kissed you. You slowly kiss back. "I'm sorry." Steve said. "No. Its OK.." You said biting your lower lip. "I just... I still like you." Steve said. "As do I." You said kissing his cheek.
