Have you ever met with a wild Gruddifet?
They're truly wondrous creatures, indeed
With trunks tall as trees
And a forest on their knees
Gruddifets are a curious breed
Or perhaps you have seen a bunch of Yellow-bellied Keen?
They stick to the equatorial places
They gawk and they squawk
In a multicolored flock
Like a rainbow of aerial aces
Or if you've gone to Juneau, maybe you have viewed a Rhuno
Those solitary beasts keep to themselves
You can find them, if you wish
Swimming with the freezing fish
In the glacial water depths where no man delves
If you're the social type, then I bet you've spotted Krype
Bouncing in their hulking herds of heliotroupe
If one has a vulgar mouth
Its mother makes it face the south
And she washes out the dirty words with soap
Then again, if you're a loner, you have no doubt seen a Moaner
In the dark and misty corners of the night
Scuffled footprints on the wall
Mark the place where one, with gall
Tried to win another's domain in a fight
If you've glimpsed a fierce Valeer, then you'd better run, my dear
For the city keeps them under lock and key
But more often than not
It is all for naught;
The Valeer have a knack for breaking free
Now, a Wrillot's quite a sight (I assure you they don't bite)
For the smaller children or the child at heart
They flap their tiny wings
When the leading Wrillot sings
And they dance as if they're from a world apart
No matter what you see, I can only guarantee
That the world is full of creatures big and small
Some are normal, some are odd
But they're all creatures of God
On this good earth where he placed us, one and all
