They ended up talking in the same coffee shop where you and Jung Kook usually spend time together.

An awkward silence covered the whole place. With a cup of tea and a glass of juice on the table silence was their main dish. The two stared at each other really sharp. For a moment, the temperature in the place went high and an intense aura surrounded them.

But being really composed, Jung Kook broke the silence. He smirked a little as he sipped his tea.

"What's seems to be funny?" Jin asked. He was annoyed. He showed that off really obviously.

"Nothing", Jung Kook answered. "I just find this ... interesting", he said as his gaze went more delicate.

Jin stared blankly at Jung Kook waiting for him to say something more.

Jung Kook smiled, "Two man trying to win one girl's heart. Interesting, isn't it?" he said shaking his head as he put down his cup of tea.

"Wrong." Jin leaned on his chair and crossed his arms across his chest. "You know what's more interesting?" he asked and looked away. He grinned. "There's a stranger ... who's trying to steal my girl", and stared at Jung Kook with a sense of pride.

Jung Kook was silenced by Jin's statement. He was speechless for a moment. Truth be told, Jin is your boyfriend.

"Back  off", Jin spoke as he saw Jung Kook being speechless. "Don't bother yourself taking her away from me", he said. His face was dead serious. His words were smeared with threat. 

But Jung Kook disagreed. Nothing's holding him back anyway. Not even Jin.

"Do you think I would do that easily?" Jung Kook asked him. "It might be easy for you if you're in my place. But not for me", he answered. "I won't back down that easily."

Jin squeezed his hand on the table. His temper was raging. But he needed to control it. He needed to stop his anger. He looked away and sighed.

"I like- no. I love her", he said and looked back at him.

Without moving his sight directly nailed at Jin's eyes he answered, "I love her too".

"I need her."

"I need her more than you do", Jung Kook answered.

"I will never leave her."

"I swore not to leave her until my last breath", Jung Kook uttered.

Then there was silence again.

"She's my life now. She's my life now!" Jin said and again, Jung Kook responded with silence.

After a few seconds Jung Kook smiled and answered, "Really? But she's been and still the reason for my existence since we were kids. I know her more than YOU know her. I know her weaknesses ... her strengths ...  the way she wanted her life to be ... I know EVERYTHING about her, Jin! I do", Jung Kook ended.

Tables have turned and this time it was Jin who's out of words. He realized that he indeed knows a little about the girl he loves. He realized that there's a lot that he should know from you. But no! That doesn't mean a thing. That doesn't change his love for you and he will fight for it. He will fight for it even from the man that knows you more than himself. It doesn't matter.

Jung Kook spoke, "Jin, you may not understand what I'm going to say". He said it as he looked at the glass wall of the shop reflecting the moon. "But I will say it anyway."

Jin stared at Jung Kook earnestly.

"I'm doing the best thing I could ever do in my entire life, right here, right now", Jung Kook continued. He stared back at Jin. "And that is to love <Y/N> ... I love her ... and I don't care if it kills you", he ended.

Jin smirked. "But I'm telling you ... she's mine. And I don't care either if it kills the whole you", he answered back.

Jin stood up and started walking away from the shop, but when he was right beside Jung Kook, he stopped. "May the best man win", and left Jung Kook after tapping his shoulder.

Jung Kook drank his tea. Without looking at Jin, he let his rival leave the place.

"You'll understand it one day Jin. Just wait", he uttered to no one but the air. He stood up and got his wallet from his pocket and took out money to pay the bill.
