“Oh! I failed … You came first before I could” He said smiling as he entered his unit and went to the dining table directly to put down a paper bag that smells as food.

You gave him a frown as you put down your bag again and crossed your arm. You followed his movements buy your eyes. “You told me you’re here. Where did you go?” you asked him complaining.

He walked back at you and pressed your nose. “I’m sorry!” he said squeezing it more while you complained as it hurts. “I just bought a food for us.” He said as he sat on the couch. Your attention now was nailed on the paper bag that he was referring to. You skipped lunch because of too much worrying for him and now you’re starving.

“Is that food?” you pointed at it looking at Jung Kook. And as soon as he nodded as his yes you walked towards the table and opened the bag where two hulk burgers awaits.

“I forgot to take my lunch so now I’m starving.” You said while opening the burger. “I will eat a lot!” you said as you took a big bite. “Oahh .. it’s delicious!” you complemented while chewing with your mouth full.

Jung Kook then sat beside you and joined you eating. He just took his first bite from his burger when he was surprised seeing you already half way to finish your food. “Hey, <Y/N>! Eat slowly!” he reminded you. You looked at him and tried to speak when you accidentally swallowed your food and it choked you.

“Wa … Wat-teh!” you hardly said while drumming your chest to help the food go down from your throat.

Jung Kook laughed at you while you suffer. “I told you to slow down.” He said laughing not getting up to get water for you.

You hit his shoulder really hard when you saw him laughing. “WATER!” you said and he got up at once to get you some while still laughing.

After eating the two of you sat on the living room and watched a music show. The both of you felt so full with the burger and it made the two of you really sleepy.

Jung Kook put a pillow on your lap and lay down. Getting used to your best friends sweet gestures you let him laid down comfortably while your attention was still on the music show.

“Your birthday is near.” You said as you brushed his hair with your fingers. You looked at him and you found your best friend really handsome as ever.

He smiled without looking at you. “Yeah, it’s the day after tomorrow.” He answered hugging the cushion in his possession.

“So, what are your plans? Are you going home?” you asked him now looking at the TV.

He looked at you and flipped to see your face. “No.” he answered. “I just want my birthday to be special.” He said looking in your eyes. You too looked at him. “I want to celebrate it with you alone” he said and smiled. “Please?” he asked as he got your arm and held it very tight.

You looked at him earnestly. Your questions went away as you heard Jung Kook’s request. You wanted to ask him a lot. But you chose to shut your mouth. After all his birthday is near and you don’t want to spoil his special day.

You nodded and smiled at him. With your free hand, you aimed for her nose and found vengeance in squeezing it harder than he did. He too screamed in pain as you giggled laughing at him.

Jung Kook was still in deep sleep after your siesta. You woke up and decided to go while he was still sleeping like dead oil on your lap. You moved slowly as you also moved his head safely on the couch. “I got to go. I still have to do something. Bye~” You knelt to whisper your good bye to him.

Your feet led you to the hospital where Jung Kook brought you last Saturday. You very well know that the only answer to your question is with Dr. Gu’s hands.

“Will I ask her?” you asked yourself as you were about to knock on Dr. Gu’s office. You’re now thinking twice. Will you ask her directly? Or wait for Jung Kook to say something? You squeezed the empty bag of medicine in your hand. You sighed as you stepped back losing your courage on the situation.

“Miss Yoon?” it made you stopped hearing your name. You turned around and saw Dr. Gu who was about to go out from her office. You smiled at her as you greeted her politely.

“Come in” she graciously said.
