Chapter One

"And cut... That's the video finished" one of my best friend's, Patty, said as he turned off the camera he had set up on a tripod. We were at one of the local parks in Brighton filming his latest music video he forced me to be in. It was a duet cover of Pierce The Veil's Hold On 'Till May. One of my favourite songs. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I could help Patty but I don't think I have such a great singing voice - nowhere near as brilliant as his.

"Well done guys, looks killer" Jason - better known as VeeOneEye - cheered and clapped his hands before pulling us into a tight, group hug. I loved being best friends with these guys.

"Thanks" I spoke in my strong American accent. It sucks that I can only come over to the Uk in summer when I'm not at college. Jason, Patty and the guys are coming over for Christmas this year which will be fantastic. We are all totally stoked!

"Jase, spin us" Patty yelled while he climbed onto part of a swing in the park as I mounted the chair on it.

"I alllllwwways have to pull yous, it's nooooottt fair!" VeeOneEye complained in a high-pitch voice, pretending to cry like a baby.

"Shame init" I laughed as I glided through the air, travelling in circles, light as a feather.

"Help" I heard Patty screech but before Jason and I could do anything, he landed on the cold, hard floor with a thud! "Fuck" he muttered under his breath before getting picked up by Jason but Patty quickly pulled him down next to him.

They were laid next to each other on the pavement bent over double with laughter for everyone to see.

"I ship it" yelled myself as I saw the two boys rolling on the floor, play fighting like they always do.

"How about no?" Jason spoke back, failing to hold back a giggle.

"Hey, Jason", Patty laid on top of his friend, faces inches apart "you'd know you can't fight love" he winked sexually. They stared into each other's eyes for a few moments before erupting into laughter once more.

After we all composed ourselves, we gathered all the equipment from the music video and walked back to their house. I cannot wait to leave my parent's house. I have nothing against them but I want to be more independent and have more privacy.

Least then, I can go and see all my friends whenever I want and they can come over to America more often and stay at my apartment.

It will be great but for now, I'm just glad I'm in the Uk with all my friends.
